Loly Boutique Hotel Roma

Good location but we booked months ahead and we were put in the first room right next to the front desk with no view.

Great hotel stay, with friends. Second time in Rome different location than last time. Perfect for what we wanted. Lovely friendly staff especially Paulo, Mark and Simon the barman /mixologist. Who all made our stay hassle free and enjoyable . Would highly recommend.

Great place to stay! Good size room, great location in Trastevere, modern but with an historical touch.

We booked a long weekend in Rome at the Loly Boutique hotel. The location of the hotel was excellent for walking to the major sights in Rome (typically 30mins) as well as restaurants in Trastevere and Testaccio. The style of the hotel was nice and staff were friendly. We had a standard room, the bedroom and bathroom were modern and a good size. We did have an issue though, ants!. After the first night we woke to find the floor, desk area and coffee area covered in ants. We reported this to reception immediately only to be advised “this can happen”. We asked to be moved however there were no available rooms. The receptionist reassured us the cleaner would clean and spray that area. We returned to our room that evening to find the area spotless. We didn’t experience any ants the following morning but unfortunately they returned after the third night, and there were loads ! We contacted reception and was once again advised “it can happen”. We were checking out that morning so didn’t ask to be moved. Unfortunately this did spoil our stay as we found it disgusting and unsettling. We were also disappointed at the dismissive attitude of the receptionists we spoke to. The issue maybe specific to our room which was 107 so maybe avoid that room if you plan on staying.

We stayed in this hotel towards the end of March 26. It's a very quiet and comfortable setting and a great location for exploring the city. Some good and inexpensive restaurants located nearby. We were placed in the building at the rear of the hotel and it actually has a roof terrace! Nice bar and restaurant and staff very nice. Fabio who checked us in was extremely professional and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

From the moment we arrived the staff were attentive to our every need. All staff were Incredibly friendly and happy to assist. The hotel is immaculate throughout with modern decor and comfortable furnishings. Breakfast is plentiful. I enjoyed the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. Rooms are very clean, tastefully decorated with a comfortable bed. Highly recommend.

The Good: The hotel has a lovely, intimate boutique feel. The lounge bar is a highlight—very cozy and the perfect spot for coffee or a drink. The Not So Good: Service was inconsistent. Housekeeping was very slow; we often returned at 4:00 PM to unmade rooms. On New Year’s Day, they only replaced towels and ignored the beds entirely. I also had to ask for basic soap refills on day one. Additionally, the hot water is unreliable—great at 6:00 AM but lukewarm by 9:00 AM. Breakfast was disappointing; the staff were unwelcoming, and unlike every other hotel we stayed at, they charged extra for eggs/omelettes.

Fabio, at the front desk, was very friendly and welcoming. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. We only stayed overnight but would book again and stay atleast 2 days to see more of the area.

This hotel is really nice. It was clean, modern, spacious, and the balconies were really great. The breakfast was good too. I'm less convinced about Trastavere though as a place to stay while touring Rome. We stayed here at the end of a two week trip, and stayed by the Pantheon at the start of the two weeks. The Pantheon area is much better for walking to the main tourist sites. From this hotel we went out to Tivoli, to Ostia Antica, and took a food tour of Trastavere, and the location was great for those places, but my caution is that we spent a lot more time in taxis from here, and I think we heard more people speaking German than we did Italian in this neighborhood.
