The Coachmans Inn

Centrally located in the town, rooms very nice and clean, great value and the staff very helpful especially Michael the Bar Manager. The restaurant was very busy but we were found a table at short notice and the food was excellent. Will definitely be back ! Oh great Guinness too 😋

This is one of the nicest hotels i have stayed in. It was perfect. We stayed 2 nights. The rooms were spotless. The restaurant and bar staff were lovely and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. A special mention to Alan Connaughton for looking after us so well. Such a lovely guy. The entertainment was brilliant, and we danced the night away. I will definitely be back again.

We had a delicious meal, from a good menu, at a good price. Nice a**osphere, and lovely and warm on a cold day. Staff members were very friendly and Michael assigned us to a quieter table with minimal fuss when we asked. Thank you for your hospitality

The Coachman’s is new to Roscommon as a place to stay. We booked a 3 night stay to visit family, and needed 2 rooms for an older couple and grown up relative. The restaurant had been recommended by our family members as good for a variety of dietary needs. The rooms we were given had been newly refurbished, with good sized beds, modern shower rooms and decent towels and toiletries. It has parking nearby. It was good value in a town where there isn’t much choice for people who need to stay a number of nights. The restaurant catered for all ages and provided decent food which had good sized portions, and reasonably priced wine. So far so good. The significant downside is the lack of sound insulation which made sleep impossible in room 101, and could be heard in room 104 round the corner. They have a DJ at weekends which starts at 10.30 and finishes in the small hours after 1 am. For the occupant of the room above the bar ( 101) the noise of a couple having a shouting match in room 102 came through the walls, and soon after they had stopped arguing, then the DJ started and made the room vibrate so much that they got nauseous and came to our room to sleep on the floor until the noise ended after 1am. In room 104 we heard the music during the night, though not loudly, but we can hear the person next door snoring. While we give credit to the owners for doing their best to make a living in difficult times, we would say that we would probably not return to stay here, and if we did, we would ask for a room as far from the music as possible. It might be fine for a midweek stay, or for those who do not mind being heard by their neighbours, or those who come for the music.

Can’t fault this newly refurbished establishment. From start to finish the staff were friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Rooms are warm and comfortable with fabulous showers and beds to die for. Food was fantastic clean plates all round. Well done to all involved can highly recommend this family run Inn. We will definitely be back.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and booked for another visit in June. Couldn’t fault anything. Room was really clean and comfy, restaurant and bar top class, the food was delicious and perfectly presented, and the staff in every depar**ent very friendly and obliging.

We booked two rooms at this property only to be told upon arrival that they had misread the booking and only were in a position to give us one room, this was due to the fact they had just sold the other room, good way of making extra money. We did ask the hotel for a return on the other rooms cost but they declined and laughed saying well at least we have one room for you. Would never use this hotel again and would advise ********** to remove it from their site.

Went there for Sunday lunch. Place is lovely and could not fault the food. We went for Hake, Turkey, dipping donuts and chocolate brownie. All very tasty as were all the veg too. Would recommend and will be back. Service was good. Staff very friendly and chatty to customers.
