Gästehaus Liebler

This is such a lovely place that we have returned to years apart, and will stay there again if we get back to Rothenburg. It is very clean, quiet and within walking distance of everything you will enjoy about Rothenburg. The host, Birgit, is easy to communicate with. Her English can be limited, but she will always reply. There is a fully stocked kitchen, all the pots and pans you might want to cook with. The bed (we were in the ground floor room) is very comfortable. Apartment 1, House 1. There is no spectacular view out the window, but with the ambiance, none is needed. It is light and sunny feeling. In writing this, it makes me just wish I was there right now! We have stayed in other places in Rothenburg, and would not stay anywhere else now. It is our home in Rothenburg ob der Tauber!

The room was on the first floor and nicely decorated. Unfortunately we didn't stay the whole time and can't comment on anything other than the room. We had taken the train from Frankfurt and, via email, I had advised her we would be coming by train and asked if they were far from the train station and was advised they were not far. Well there are no buses or outside cars allowed past the gate. We walked almost a mile on cobblestone from the train dragging our luggage. If you're younger probably no problem but if you're a senior it takes a lot out of you dragging luggage over cobblestone for that distance. We only stayed one night, not three and advised the hostess we would be leaving the next day. She very nicely indicated her husband would drive us, she said she didn't realize we had come by train or they could have picked us up.
