Gasthaus Tauberstube

Gasthaus Tauberstube is a wonderful place to stay. It is within walking distance of Rothenburg ob der Tauber, with its historic center within the old walls. The welcome was good; the owner is very friendly and also knows a lot about the area. The room was absolutely perfect: good beds, spacious with a seating area, kitchenette, and bathroom. Downstairs is a room with coffee/tea and a fridge containing beer, wine, and soft drinks; it is self-service, and you just keep track of what you take on a note. Outside is a nice terrace where you can sit comfortably until late in the evening. The extensive breakfast is well-prepared. Parking is available at the front and rear, and there is a locked room where you can store and charge your bicycles. There are many cycling and hiking routes nearby. If you ever want to eat close by, Gasthof Swarzes Lamm, opposite the guesthouse, is highly recommended.
