An Outstanding Stay – Highly Recommended
Romantik Hotel Markusturm is truly exceptional. The management family and their entire team are warm, professional, and genuinely welcoming — you immediately feel well looked after from the moment you arrive.
The hotel itself is beautiful, full of character and charm. The rooms are enormous, impeccably maintained, and extremely comfortable, combining historic elegance with modern comfort.
We also had the pleasure of enjoying the New Year’s dinner, which was absolutely delicious and very well executed — a real highlight of our stay.
Overall, this is an amazing hotel set in an equally amazing environment. Everything came together to create a memorable experience.
Thank you to the entire team for a wonderful stay — we will most certainly return.

This lovely hotel is located in the heart of the old town, in an old building. It was on the third floor and only had stairs, but they helped me carry my large luggage, which was very helpful. The owner and everyone at the hotel were very kind and pleasant.
We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel, and everything was delicious. The breakfast in particular was so filling that I couldn't finish it.
We took a taxi from the station because the cobblestone streets were difficult to navigate with our large luggage. They can also call a taxi for the return trip if you ask.
I would definitely use this hotel again.

Excellent location, warm service. Because it is an old house, there are a lot of stairs, but the service staff thoughtfully helped us move all our luggage to the room. Breakfast was delicious. Overall the hotel is very cute and I hope to visit again next time.

Check-in was close to 12 o'clock, but there was no problem and the staff was very accommodating. The room was stylish with cute lights, there were plenty of towels, and tea and water were provided. The bathtub and shower were separate, so it was spacious and relaxing. The breakfast was the best of all. When eating breakfast, you could choose what you like, and there was a wide variety and it was very delicious. If I come to Rothenburg again, I will definitely stay here again.

We just returned from a wonderful vacation in Rothenburg, where we stayed at the Romantik-Hotel Markusturm. The hotel's medieval charm and the beautiful setting fit in perfectly with this fairy-tale town. The Berger family was exceptionally friendly and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.

Charming well run hotel. A delight. I stayed here in December 2025 on a Christmas markets trip. The hotel is beautiful and quaint. The service was top notch. We had breakfast here every day and dinner one evening. The food was delicious. Room was updated and clean. Very comfortable.
