Nice local pub with parking Staff is nice however Food is average

Stayed have here a few times now, always a fantastic service, very welcoming team. Nice place for an evening meal too. Rooms lovely & comfortable. A relaxing stay . Fantastic breakfast offers a freshly cooked breakfast of your choice. Highly recommend this family run business offering excellent customer service. Plenty of parking. Bedroom had everything: hairdryer, ironing board, fan, trouser press, pod cofee and kettle. TV.

Stayed overnight as we were going to a party in Royal Tunbridge Wells. Good location, easy to find. Big car park. Old pub/Inn with lots of character. The bed was very comfortable bed and we enjoyed a good English breakfast. We booked through Booking and had a good deal.

An extremely comfortable room, very clean and well maintained. Dinner in the restaurant was superb and good value for money. Breakfast was also very good and included in our room rate. Staff very friendly. We will certainly be returning in the near future.

Good food, very friendly staff, and great parking. However the property is very tired and could do with a makeover or at the very least a good cost of paint. The room we had was clean and comfortable, but the obvious age of the decoration spoilt what would have been a perfect stay.

A family run business offering excellent customer service in a friendly yet unobtrusive manner. Plenty of parking. Bedroom had everything: hairdryer, ironing board, fan, trouser press, pod cofee and kettle. TV easy to operate. Plenty of cupboard space. Well thought out bathroom with immediate and constant hot water. Extensive breakfast menu and cooked options nicely presented. Evening meals home cooked - superb fish pie - generous portions. Quiet overnight. Good location for Tunbridge Wells.

A warm welcome awaited us after a long day on the road. Rooms were clean and comfortable (And very quiet) the shower was awesome which is a must! We were joined by colleagues in the pub for some food and drinks and we were well attended to and the food was lovely. Breakfast was stellar, plenty of choice and excellent quality. I would definitely recommend.

Disappointed on arrival was expecting 4 star hotel and looked nothing like the lovely picture of the hotel at Christmas when we booked on line. The hotel is in need of refurbishment/modernisation especially the bar and restaurant areas. Staff were ok and helpful but didn’t feel welcoming on arrival. Our room was on the ground floor and was comfortable and clean, although some mildew around the hinge on shower door. The bed was comfortable but sheets were not - there were 3 large scatter cushions on the bed which were supposed to be decorative but looked on the scruffy side and a fleece runner on the bottom of the bed. There was WiFi in our room but this was an unsecured network - there was no information about access in the room. There was plenty of choice at breakfast and the full English was very nice although the sausages on bagels were greasy. The corridor from the main pub to guest rooms was cold and dark and used to store outside furniture etc - and was most unwelcoming. Evening meal was ok but Caesar salad was mostly a bed of chopped iceburg lettuce with Parmesan cheese and chicken on top. The hotel has a large car park with 2 electric chargers. Location ok but nothing much to do in the evening nearby - it would have been a nice gesture to have information in the room about the area/places of interest but this hotel does seem to lack those helpful little touches, although there was a ‘tourist information stand’ in the corridor. Ok as 3 star but def not 4 star. Wouldn’t stay again.

Excellent hotel, great food good beer and brilliant staff. We stayed for 5 nights and were very impressed with everything, really couldn’t fault it. Great choice of cooked options for breakfast and excellent quality. All the staff were friendly and efficient and made our stay very enjoyable. The restaurant inside the historic pub served great food offering a wide choice and good value for money. Would certainly stay again if revisiting the area
