Hôtel the Originals Miramar, Royan Pontaillac

I had a very enjoyable one night stay , spacious room , nice amenities like a fridge and coffee machine in the room. Very comfortable bed and quality bedding.AC was also welcome and the breakfast while expensive at €18 was nicely presented with sufficient choices and delicious bread and cheese selection.Direct access to the beach was lovely from the gate at the end of the well looked after garden.No problem with parking and there was a heated swimming pool.Reception staff were very welcoming and helpful. Things that could be better , WiFi signal was poor to non existent, no other channels on the TV other than terrestrial TV , even though the You tube apps etc were loaded they were not accessible. Not a fault of the hotel but it would certainly influence my decision to revisit the area in the future was the fact that my little dog was unable to access any beach.Forbidden , April to September 🥲.

Very well maintained, not too expensive and very well placed. I recommend for the price!

Ideal beach location We had an exceptional 2 night stay in this hotel. Our room overlooked the sea which had coloured light in the evening. The view was just stunning. The hotel was clean and the added bonus was very friendly helpful staff.

The local owners are very sweet people, and they're very warm and hospitable: the view is gorgeous, beds comfortable and the bathroom and shower are absolutely gorgeous.

I visited this hotel with my husband and my baby. It was 30-36 degrees outside and a conditioner was not working in the room! Just selling ventilator. It was horrible to sleep! Especially for the baby!!! We spent there 5 nights. They didnt make any discount or informed us in advance. This is really unacceptable! And baby bed is for extra money. We got one with the matras which was much bigger that the bed. So my poor baby slept in a heatwave and in a kind of hole….

Excellent hotel and location - immaculately clean. Nice bar on verandah overlooking the beach and sea. Very nice welcome. Parking round the back for a few cars. Room was bright and modern. All in all an excellent stay and would highly recommend.

Rooms with sea view are wonderful. We love this area. We love the sandy beach with the sea close by, and the coastal walks.

First class location on the sea front. Well decorated rooms and public areas. Friendly staff for whom nothing was too much trouble. A jacket was accidentally left in the wardrobe and it was immediately posted to us.
