I stayed here the day before going to Plitvice.
The strange thing is that you have to check in at a restaurant.
They offer a welcome drink, so I just ate there.
The accommodation isn't bad, but if you go in the winter, it feels like you're freezing to death...
The radiators turn off in the evening, so you have to use electric ones, but as you can see, they are tiny.
It was cold, so I asked if I could turn on the central radiator, but they just said that other people were fine...
I complained, and they said I could use the radiators from another empty room, so I connected two of them and used them.
Aside from that, it was good value for money. The accommodation had a nice atmosphere... and parking is free!!!

This was the perfect tree lined cabin retreat. We stayed here for 6 nights during our time exploring Plitvice Lakes National Park. This place felt peaceful and like a step back in time. Wood fired BBQ, hammocks and outdoor seating areas were nice. Pet friendly for our little pup. Everything was clean and well maintained. You need a vehicle here, same as other places in the area. I’d stay again and highly recommend!

Rustic Charm
We love the rustic charm of this quality cottage. It was perfect for our visit, warm and clean, charming! The restaurant is also very delicious, we had breakfast and dinner with them daily! We will be back !

We had a great stay at House Rustico. It is about a 15-20 mins drive away to Plitvice national park, and it is located in a nice little town near a forest. The room is big, clean and is well equipped. Vila Velebita is at the other side of the small town, and is the place where you have to collect the keys to your rooms. Vila Velebita is also a great option for dinner and breakfast, it offers traditional cuisine and has a nice atmosphere with traditional Croatian music. When we stayed in house Rustico there was a bear in the surrounding forest that made quite some noise during the night. It was also an interesting experience to walk back from Vila Velebita in the dark to house Rustico while we saw garbage containers overturned and a (fresh) drool trail of the bear. This is of course not the hotel's fault, but keep in mind that the surroundings contain wild life. We stayed in the hotel during September in which bears enter hyperphagia (feeding frenzy) so that explains the bear's behavior.

Lovely & clean house but we were treated horribly by the owner. Due to his rude attitude & behaviour, the stay felt uncomfortable from the first day of arrival. When booking we also payed extra for the Mountain View house but there was no Mountain View.
