The Lodge at Russell - Russell Inn

The motel was very clean. It looks like something out of the 80s but very well kept location is perfect right off the highway but far enough to be quiet.

Friendly staff! The room was nice and clean. Mini fridge and coffee in the room. Warm shower, comfy bed. Homemade breakfast was great. Biscuits and gravy, waffles, eggs and Oatmeal. Parking area was secure. Overall this was a very nice stay with an affordable price. No worries when you choose the Lodge in Russell Kansas

If you give a mouse a cookie… I stayed her in February for my daughters gymnastics meet. Entering the rooms I noticed that things are outdated but they’re not terrible rooms. HOWEVER, in the middle of the night I kept hearing rustling sounds that I couldn’t decipher if I was just imagining things or if it was the rain outside. I attempted to sleep through it, my girls woke me at 5am to say they heard it to. I tried to get them to sleep more but around 6am I saw a MOUSE running into my grocery sack of snacks! Immediate panic from my kids. I rushed to get our things packed leaving the chewed through package of cookies the mouse got and that’s when I noticed droppings in the drawers and under the sink. I got my kids ready and we headed to breakfast. I told the front desk about my encounter (which I learned later was the manager herself) and got “I’m sorry” this didn’t sit well with me and I told a friend who took it upon herself to do something. A few moments later the “manager” comes and slams a receipt down for a $15 refund being extremely rude saying I could have said something when it happened and they would have switched me rooms. How? Your office closes at 10pm as I was told, and do you expect me to carry 3 sleeping children to a different room in a town I’m not familiar with? I will never stay here again!! Had this been handled nicer than the rude attacking attitude I received I wouldn’t of even considered leaving reviews. Needless to say don’t stay here unless you like mice and disrespect staff.

Friendly clean cute good breakfast

Have stayed here before; can rely on them for "reliable" service, amenities as advertised, reasonable pricing. They even did check-in at 2 AM (due to time zone change); don't want to make it sound "too good" (we need their available rooms, time to time...). Did I mention their "real" free breakfast buffet and dining area?

The staff here was amazingly friendly. The property was clean, and the rooms were cute. My two teen daughters fell in love with the place when we walked in the room. We loved the homey touches like the quilts and a couple little notes around the room. The homemade cinnamon rolls and egg casserole at breakfast were delicious!

Absolutely loved our stay at The Lodge! Very convenient, nice hosts, clean dog walk area, awesome outdoor swimming pool, full breakfast! Thank you! Stayed with my family and service dogs.

We were on a cross country trip. The Lodge was well priced, clean, comfortable and convenient. The staff were all very helpful and pleasant.

When we first walked in our room i loved it. It was cozy lioking with quilts on bed and very clean. We were in town for a charity motorcycle ride and had been riding in 110 fegree weather all day. The problem occurred at about 3am, inwoke up to use the restroom not feeling well because I got overheated during the ride and that is when we found the toilet did not work at all! The office was closed main building locked up and there was no place to use the bathroom. All night long i had to fill the trashcan up with water and poor it in the toilet to flush it. Finallu at 6am the main office opened and i was able to use the bathroom there. When i told the nice lady at the font desk the issue said said she was sorry and would write the room down to have it checked and that was the end of it. 80.00 for a room with no bathroom is not acceptable.
