I didn’t know how to turn on the air conditioner in the room, so I ordered a set meal that included breakfast and dinner. The burgers for dinner were delicious, and the steak for an extra 2.5 was even better. There are many peacocks, which can be fed and are not afraid of people. After staying for three days, I met a couple having their wedding there on the first day.

We stayed in the suite room , it was amazing ! Staff very friendly and welcoming from the start . Dont expect modern this is a castle and was a fantastic experience from wandering the grounds with the peacocks roaming free to tea and cakes in the courtyard , to dinning in a old hall ! The food was exceptional and the staff again polite , courteous , helpful and exceptionally friendly and welcoming . Fantastic views with plenty of time to explore the grounds . Felt like a king ! Enjoyed the full experience

Absolutely beautiful place, we were booked in on the history & heritage package, the food the staff everything was wonderful, great 2 course evening meal, lovely breakfast what a excellent place to stay, look forward to going back, All the staff were exceptional in everything, 10 stars plus

My partner and I have just returned from a lovely night away at the castle. The grounds are lovely and the view from our room was incredible. The room was clean and comfortable (especially the bed). We also dined in the restaurant and the food was outstanding.

Yet another great stay at the Castle. our 15th visit in 12 months! Warm and clean room. Always plenty of hot water to take a bath or shower. Staff always friendly and helpful.

Had a relaxing two day stay at Ruthin Castle, incorporating a spa day, the staff are so helpful, nothing is too much trouble.
The evening meal and breakfast was exceptional. Plenty of choice, varied menu,
This is our third stay at Ruthin Castle, things just get better with each vist, will definitely be back and would highly recommend a break here.

As a local, we were thrilled to hear the Medieval was returning and managed to get tickets. What a night! The entertainment was incredible, we were greeted by a lute player wandering the tafarn, given a goblet of mead and given a brief history before being shown to our seats in the banquet hall. The Whipperginies gave an incredible performance and that shouldn't be understated as the entertainment, storytelling, dancing and music was top notch for over 4 hours! The food was incredible. I must admit that I've had some hit and miss experiences at the castle over the years but this event really showed how seriously the current team are taking things. The staff were brilliant throughout, they worked hard and played the part and kept 50 or more rowdy revellers in high spirits. Phenomenal! We'll come again!

Went with a group of friends to ‘the first banquet since the great plague!’ What an amazing naught from start to finish. We had decided to go all in and wear medieval costumes and that just added to the fun! We were greeted by The Whipperginnies on arrival who I must say, didn’t stop all evening! Their enthusiasm and talent had you thinking you were actually in the medieval times!! We all received a glass of mead on arrival which is an acquired taste but got us in the spirit! The ticket price included a four course feast and a feast it certainly was!! The food was amazing - hot, fresh, quality ingredients and plenty of it! The waiting on staff were exceptional and so lovely to see them also in medieval dress that made the evening even better. Can’t wait to hear when the next one will be and will definitely get tickets if they don’t sell out!!!
