Awful service in restaurant. Long wait for starter - had to chase this. Long wait for main - told it would be another ten minutes. Offered 20% off bill as we had to leave without eating main - waitress then tried to fudge this down to 15%. V.poor overall.

Long weekend away booked the Ryde Castle. I have stayed before here, for business. This time with my wife. Did not disappoint, fantastic seaview. Great breakfast. The stay was made so welcoming with all the staff especially Charles, reception and the breakfast staff. Basically everyone. Fantastic will book again.

Large room. Bed a bit too solid for my liking but pleasant room. Cold tho. Heating could not keep up with low temperatures.

Very nice food but heaps of praise for the lovely Dani and Charles, super friendly and helpful. A good selection on the menu for veggies for both mains and dessert and the elderflower, apple and soda mocktsil was inspired. Thumbs up, all round.

Charles served us in the restaurant today. Really lovely attentive and unhurried service. Made our meal. It makes such a difference to the overall experience and the time we get to spend together. He’s a great member of the team. Thanks Charles!

Mothering Sunday lunch,was really busy and had to wait a while as our server Dani explained they had been-let down by a couple of staff , we had booked a table in the restaurant, couldn’t fault the service despite the wait, the staff were really literally running around ensuring all the tables were being catered for, the food was of good quality and plenty on your plate, and it was service with a smile. Thought the restaurant menu was much improved on last year in way of choice, was good value for money Would certainly recommend and will revisit in near future. Thought all the staff definitely put a shift in !!!

Stayed February for 17 nights. Hotel room was immaculately clean.. restaurant and bar were a pleasure to eat in and spend time in both with husband and alone. I walk with sticks and have limited mobility and feel I should mention the staff all went the extra mile to ensure I could manage. I was made to feel very welcome - of note for persons of limited mobility there is lift access to rooms which was very helpful indeed. I would recommend this hotel highly as a place to stay in respect of the above, and also the location, which is very easy access to bus routes, train, hovercraft and catamaran and the main town of Ryde.

The staff were brilliant very friendly, happy, knowledgeable and efficient. We booked a lovely Seaview room. Food in the restaurant was great as was the service. Breakfast was amazing. Our chef was Tommek and Dani offered us lots of advice on where to visit on top of being a lovely and capable hostess. We liked it so much we have booked to stay again.
