I stayed here for three days, and the transportation is convenient near the hotel. The hotel is opposite Ryde Quay and is very easy to find. Moreover, the bus stop is diagonally opposite the hotel, and the transportation is convenient. The hotel's breakfast is great, but the staff who clean the room are very unhygienic. They put the cups used by the first-hand guests on the table for the second-hand guests.

Me and my husband stayed at this hotel for my sister inlaw wedding we stayed from 10-14 May24 . The hotel is very large and is on the sea front of Ryde iow, the room was fantastic we was upgraded to the old bridal suite. Which gave us sea views. The room was bit dated/ modern as the hotel is a listed building grade 2. The staff was amazing polite and friendly, nothing was too much bother for them. The hotel was a fantastic hotel and the food and drink was spectacular. I would definitely stay here again. My sister-in-law and brother-in-law proud for their wedding reception

We were on a coach tour and spent 5 nights here. We were pleasantly surpised that it was better than we expected. Nice room, attentive staff, food good but not brilliant. They coped very well with two large tour groups and a full hotel. Like many seaside places in the UK, Ryde has seen better days but is OK. It was fine as a base for the tour. Osbourne House, Carisbrook Castle and the steam railway were particularly good visits.

My wife and I made our second visit from 30th April for four nights and were delighted with our stay once again. We occupied a family seaview room (No. 23) which we were offered when booking direct in February. Very spacious, comfortable (particularly the kingsize bed ) and quiet. The satff are always helpful, couteous and friendly. Dining arrangements both breakfast and dinner are first class with a very good menu choice available. All waiting staff attentive, effecient and friendly. We very much enjoy our pre dinner drinks in the bar, where there's always a good selction of beers on tap and spirits. The Irish coffees after dinner are recommended. Would advise when making a reservation to prebook the hotel's car park facility, just a two minute walk from the hotel and most convenient. Looking forward to our next stay. No hesitation in recommending

Had a 2 night stay recently, booked a standard single room which was dated but clean, warm & had tea / coffee making facilities tv etc. The restaurant was having a refit so no evening meals at this time ( but you were welcome to bring in a takeaway ) also breakfast was continental & not cooked, I presume while work was being carried out in kitchen/ restaurant. The staff I met were friendly & helpful .... would I stay again ? Yes ! Oh & in the summer months Harry's Bar has quite a nice decking area outside.

We stayed at the Royal Esplanade Hotel for three nights whilst attending a Golden Wedding function at the hotel. The staff at the hotel were friendly, polite and helpful. The hotel was clean, tidy and well maintained. Our bedroom overlooked the Esplanade, it had wonderful views over the Solent, it was a big room with plenty of space, the bed was very comfortable. The hotel is right opposite the hovercraft station, the bus station and the railway station and the pier, so it is ideally located. Our stay included breakfast, there was plenty of choice from the menu, the food was good, again the serving staff were excellent. All in all, we had a very pleasant experience whilst at the hotel and would highly recommend it.

Popped in whilst visiting Ryde for the first time just for a cuppa polite friendly lady served us T42 in a pot with a lovely bone China cup and saucer, with a little biscuit very reasonably priced too, lovely furnishings inside, very welcoming.
