Comfort Suites Downtown Sacramento

Glad there was a gated parking lot. It was a plus the room was ready early we thought we were going to need to check our bags and come back later to check in the room.

Comfort suites is becoming my new favorite hotel chain. They lack some of the amenities of the 5 star chains, but if you want clean and a good price they are amazing.

Comfort Suites Downtown was a good overnight stay for my son and I. The area itself wasn't a good area and the only time my son felt uneasy was when we walked 2 minutes down to the Mexican restaurant. Two guys at a hotel across the way as we walked were yelling and pointing at us. By the time we left the security was doing a sweep and they were gone but there were still a number of homeless people roaming around. Besides that the staff was extremely nice and the complimentary breakfast was great. Our room, sheets, and towels appeared clean clean. The bed/pillows were extremely comfortable and there were signs of normal wear and tear. I personally would stay here again. But, being honest anyone I recommend this hotel to, would not.

The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The location was less than 10 minutes away from my downtown conference. The breakfast was good and I liked having a refrigerator and microwave in the room.

But staff was great and took care of our needs, cleaning the pool giving more towel, gated property made it safe. Breakfast was good.

Like pretty much every Comfort Inn I've stayed in, the hotel is clean and comfortable with well-appointed rooms and lots of amenities and conveniences (especially the workout room and hot breakfast). It's close to Discovery Park, the Curiosity Museum, and Old Sacrament,o but if you don't have a car and are walking alone, the neighborhood is a bit sketchy (I wouldn't do it after dark). Also the bus from the airport does not come that close to the hotel; I would suggest a taxi or Lyft or Uber to the airport and back.

The room was fine. But weeks later I am getting random charges to the hotel on my credit card I used for the cleaning deposit. Very odd.
