St Albans City Centre

The room was clean and well presented . Check in was made more difficult as the screen did not work for both ourselves and others which meant waiting for a receptionist to man the desk. She was polite and efficient. The breakfast was good. Parking was limited and we paid for parking on a nearby street . This turned out to be cheeped than the multi story car park even when the discount was applied Overall we were pleased with our two night stay in St Albans. This was the fourth forth hotel we stayed at and was certainly the best of the bunch

I agree with comments here on the hotel being dated and in major need of a refurbishment. Rooms severely dated and definitely not wortht the price. Floor to ceiling window, sadly, the nets only came 3/4 way ,not good. Bar area in desperate need of some tlc. Milk/coffee/teas not replenished in reception area. Advertised as having insulated rooms, but, I had to wear earplugs and have white noise on my phone to sleep due to music, which I think was coming from internally rather than the nightclub as I wasn't close enough to that.

Stayed here whilst visiting for a friends birthday. Great location just off the high street but also located next to a night club. This didn’t cause too much trouble. Bit of noise when sleeping and we were on the third floor facing the club. We had seen this on entering and asked to have a room away from the club but were informed they were all taken. Check in was fairly quick but then our card (as well as loads of others at same time) wasn’t working and had to be reset 3 times. One time there was another couple checking in who were promptly told they had a room away from the club and the check in staff were laughing about how they won’t have a disturbed night… not great when you’ve just asked to move, got told you couldn’t due to all rooms away from the club being taken, and then seeing someone not only get this type of room but joking about it. Other than this the room was fine / standard premier inn stuff but the air con was terrible and took ages to actually change heat / cold. As for the nights sleep well the night club caused no issue but the continuous creaking of pipes / internal noises meant a terrible nights sleep.

Cracking service come here every year fantastic every year beds comfy and clean rooms very pleasant hotel I would definitely recommend this place the staff make to stay. Rooms need updating and look very dated we came here when hotel was new deffo needs a revamp

Very good hotel service was excellent the rooms look very dated but are dated definitely in need of updating and a revamp however the staff make the stay a very welcoming experience and provide a excellent service throughout the stay here at st albens

Had an absolutely amazing time during my stay!! Everything was clean and tidy, and I had a nice quiet room, the best was the service everyone was great but especially Tara. From the get go she was very welcoming and attentive! She went the extra mile - advised me on the best places to go in St Albans and was absolutely wonderful at breakfast. Even though it was super busy, she kept everything tidy while being super friendly! After this experience and her level of service would definitely go back!!

Don't stay here on a Saturday night as the hotel is 20 feet from an ultra loud night club. You will be awake until 4am. Apparently this happens every Saturday night and they will not refund you for lack of a good night's sleep as it's outside of their control, however they will still take all of your money. You have been warned!

Great hotel right in the centre of wonderful St Albans. Callum and his team made sure our stay was very comfortable. Helpful and attentive staff. We decided to stay an extra night and this was arranged by Callum. First class customer service.
