The location is great. Located on the street where all banks, stores, supermarkets and restaurants located. The st albans cathedral abbey is just located opposite of the hotel. However, for the amenities, it would be best if they could provide hair conditioner.

We use this place a lot as we have family who live nearby. Excellent choice for city centre. Always quiet and good service. Wish they hadn’t taken all the baths out though when they did the refurbishment from Clarion to Hilton. They also put the price up by nearly 50% so it’s not such good value anymore.

Lovely small hotel, clearly recently refurbished, in an excellent location for the centre of St Albans, parking on site or a short walk away. Great rooms and an excellent breakfast.

Stayed for one night, great location & lovely staff. Deluxe room was fairly big, bathroom was very clean and refurbished, would have been useful to have a fridge & water/ice facilities. Would stay again.

The hotel is very comfortable. The bed and bedroom were large and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Special thanks to the breakfast serving staff Lorraine! Reception staff are great. Just one or two *******. The shower and sink gel were not to our liking - not a pleasant smell. We had to go out and buy some soap at Boots! Also the lighting in the en-suite was not that great for using floss. The bathroom mirror light didn't add anything. But these are small points. Very good location in St Albans. Ideal really.

Considering this hotel has been rebranded, I found it dull and uninviting. Only the location, which is superb, saves it.

The location is brilliant across the road from the Cathedral, good restaurants nearby etc. Good sized room, clean. Husband has mobility issues but this hotel is ideal. There’s a side door to avoid the steps and a lift. Good breakfast and the service was also good. Not much of a bar but there’s a pub next door though on the two nights we went in we were the only customers there. Would definitely return and recommend.
