St Michael's Manor Hotel - St Albans

Andreea was amazing, and helped made my stay and that of my friends and family extremely enjoyable. Enjoyed the bedrooms, garden, lake and the food. Spacious car park and the kind hospitality from all of the staff. I will definitely have to visit again.

We have celebrated our reunion gala night here. The place is beautiful & idyllic. The food they served was delicious. The service we received was great. The staff are friendly and accommodating. We have good memories of the place and our experience here.

Just stayed here and it really surpassed our expectations. The staff were so friendly, and could not do enough to help. What I really liked, was that they got all the important things right. Great service, super clean, big soft towels, luxury toiletries, proper tea and coffee making in the room, quality bedding, dressing gowns, decent lighting in the bathroom, and enough plugs. It’s amazing how many hotels get this wrong. The breakfast was absolutely excellent, perfectly cooked, outstanding coffee, and we really enjoyed it. The only slight improvement is that it needs a bit of TLC outside, with the jetties around the lake but the gardens are so pleasant it didn’t really matter. Thanks for a lovely stay, we will come back again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the St Michael’s Manor hotel. It is a wonderful hotel, in a great location and with amazing staff. Our room was very quiet and overlooked the beautiful lake and gardens. We would definitely want to stay again. Easy to walk into the town.

Just returned from a wonderful 2 night stay at this stunning hotel within walking distance to St Albans centre (about a 15 min walk). We stayed in one of the Garden rooms (Hawthorne) which is a beautifully decorated large bright room overlooking the gardens. Loved the wardrobe in particular with the hidden bathroom! Even though there was an event on the first night,  the rooms are so well soundproofed we barely heard a thing. Foodwise both breakfast and lunch were excellent Highlight was strolling round the gorgeous grounds and lake, watching the fish jumping. Its so peaceful and well maintained A big thank you to the truly lovely staff especially Petra, Adelina and the manager Roberto from whom we learnt a bit about the hotel's fascinating history. They all made is feel so welcome and like nothing was too much trouble. A thoroughly enjoyable stay all round, highly recommended

We stayed in a garden view room which had a nice exit to the garden. However the room was very dark and the bathroom and bedroom had water stains on the ceiling. The sink was also cracked and when you turn on the taps it soaked everything. Staff very friendly and the breakfast was good. Nice bar and really beautiful lake / garden.

Just had our 40th wedding anniversary party here, buffet lunch in the Cedar Suite. The whole experience was fabulous, from making all the arrangements with Christina to the service from the friendly staff, and the attention and care provided by Karan the food & beverage manager. The room was beautiful in this lovely old boutique hotel, and the food was delicious. Highly recommend.

We did go with lots of friends for a little party . We did use the restaurant only. The menu whose booked sandwiches , coffee and tea , etc. Service whose good and the atmosphere pleasant. The garden of the hotel very nice for a long walk . It is parking places on the hotel grounds

Stayed midweek for one night at this lovely hotel. Quiet location with fabulous gardens but easy to walk to town. Easy parking. Very comfortable beds. Really friendly, helpful and efficient staff. Friendly bar and quick room service. Loved the 12 noon check out. Would definitely stay again.
