This time the automatic check in was a massive mess.
1 it did not accept my credit card from the booking or the QR code to release the code to the safety gate to enter the hotel parking or my room.
2 it then charged me twice the deposit/incidental fee. That was corrected without me
Asking by the personnel the next day so service once a human is involved is great and friendly.
3 I call the help desk and no-one responded during the nearly 40 minutes it took me trying different cards, the system
Doing a full reboot, getting it somehow to work again and gaining access to my room.
4 in the end I got the code and access, the staff the next morning apologies profusely and said there must have been a mass outage as normally the help desk is very responsive. So one good experience before, one no so good this time. I’ll give it another go as the people there are very friendly and it’s a good value for money stay and breakfast.
