Disappointed that pool and hot tub is closed. Was really wanting to relax in a hot tub. The hotel is clean and staff is friendly

This place needs updating ....BAD! It smells HORRIBLE! Can't imagine what smells they are trying to mask, with the "odor cover up" sprays! Ugh! Bathtub wouldn't drain, refrigerator froze our water, and when I went to the desk, to get a replacement beverage, it was $4.00! Carpet was frayed, and the list goes on. Considering the area, of St Charles, this was a big let down. Never again!

Was close to where I needed to be for funeral places in St. Charles.
Front desk people were nice.
Their snack area needs replenishing and no vending machines on my floor.
No microwave in my room which would've been nice to heat a frozen dinner, but it did have a mini-fridge. (Grocery across street if needed)
Room very clean, bed & pillows comfy.

The A/C was on inside the room that I was given. The thermostat was reading 57. The temperature outside was -14 below. I had to increase the thermostat to make the room warm. I notified the front desk but we told him it was gradually increasing but still freezing. The toilet got clogged up also, but I managed to unclog it by dumping water with a wastebasket, the air dryer wasn’t working either or it could have been the socket in the washroom. For all that money I spent, I expected way better room accommodations prior to my surgery at Delnor Hospital. Never again will I stay in your hotel

The people at the Fairfield provide great customer service. The breakfast is good. The parking is good.
The hotel has a perfume in the halls that is somehow sent through the air ducts. Very noticeable. The rooms don’t have a scent though.
The washer in the guest laundry worked. The dryer didn’t. Had to figure out what to do with two wet loads of laundry. Not fun.
The tv in our first room didn’t work so we got upgraded to another room. Good service! Poor maintenance.
The rooms had dim lighting.
This is the only hotel within many miles. Wonder what would happen if a competent competitor came to town? Location is great. Walk to shopping and restaurants.
