Savoy Country Inn

Generally poor! Huge let down across everything. Dirty, tables that don’t fit the booths. Before we ordered we asked if we could move tables but as it would be an effort for the staff we were not allowed despite it being half full. Took an hour for food to arrive and one meal was wrong. Food is okay but nothing special and not worth the money. Ordered puddings but the tables we not cleared, puddings came with items missing. Tried to order a floater coffee with a liqueur to be told they don’t do coffees with ice cream. I explained what it was and that it was on their online ordering system but just a blank expression on the barmaids face. My advice is don’t bother, Save your money or get a takeaway instead! Staff obviously are not keen on the tourists spending money.

We visited this restaurant with the expectation of a enjoyable family meal. Upon ordering, we requested our three orders to be served simultaneously, as we were all paying separately. Unfortunately, the service did not meet our expectations. Despite the restaurant being relatively empty, our drinks order was incorrect, and the staff was dismissive when addressing the mix-up.We waited nearly an hour for our food. The first dish arrived promptly, but there were significant delays with the remaining meals. Despite confirming at the time of ordering that the meals would be served together, the staff seemed to have forgotten this detail.The quality of the food, when it finally arrived, was generally good except for the "dirty fries." The pulled pork topping was disappointingly cold, as if it hadn't been heated properly. Upon raising this issue, a staff member unprofessionally checked the temperature by inserting their finger into the food and merely apologized before returning the same plate to our table after a brief disappearance to the kitchen. Ideally, a fresh dish should have been provided. Overall, while some dishes were enjoyable, the poor service and the issue with the dirty fries marred our dining experience. We do not plan to return.

Due to heavy traffic we pulled in unexpectedly to receive a warm welcome. We sat outside, and ordered fish and chips at the recommendation of the friendly barman. I don't usually order fish and chips as it can come oily, and usually disappointing. This was the best fish and chips I've ever had. Good service, generous portions, pleasant surroundings.

Just the one night. Hotel staff member contacted me directly to confirm rescheduled date of arrival, which following going around in circles trying to do same with the booking provider, was a good thing. Room was probably exactly how I thought I’d find it if I’m honest given my budget and what I’d paid for it

Was okay for the price but there was hair all around the bath room and the shower leaks into the bed room, pub was quiet and food took an hour to come to the table. Our family bed room was located above the kitchen that had music blaring through the floor boards called twice to reception and eventually it went off but not great when you have a toddler.

Me and my partner went for food arrived at 8pm the food came out very quick and when the chef finished his shift we were still here. We spoke to him, think is name was Harry and he was amazing and ally on the bar was fantastic also. Couldn’t say a bad word about anyone thank you guys x

Received a warm welcome on our stop off yesterday for a bite to eat on the way to Tenby. Friendly staff, with plenty of choice on the menu, food served quickly. Plenty of parking, with electric charging stations…bonus!! Will certainly call again.

The reception manager was really welcoming but that is where the great experience ended. The room was quite frankly dirty , peanuts on the floor plus a label from some product , obviously the room had not been hoovered. The carpet was grubby and stained and the skirting boards were battered and in need of paint. The ensuite was the smallest I have ever seen, the hot tap was loose and both taps were dirty at the base of each tap . The shower was tiny and had seen better days The room was generally worn and dated. To be fair the bed was very comfortable. I would not book the Savoy Country Inn again.

I won £20 in the bandit and it took 44 days for the manager to finally pay it back only after i mentioned the ombudsman, citizens advice and a few others did he ask for my bank details to repay me (15 minutes effort), he didn't even make an effort with a courtesy call, I had to phone him twice and his answer was he has been extremely busy (44 days) unbelievable customer service.
