Good location, near to town and attractions but secluded enough to be peaceful and- despite highway - quiet . Each cottage has a different personality, air conditioning, living room area, is comfortable and somewhat whimsical Miss Anne personally welcomed our group of +26 bicyclists during our ride across America and hope she will keep hosting cyclists for many years to come

My sister and I stayed at the Butler Greenwood plantation and were in awe of the beauty and of the hospitality of its owner, Anne Butler. We had done our homework before we made the reservation and were not disappointed. It was not only a step back in history, but the beauty of the location was so relaxing. Anne told us the history of the plantation which was fascinating, and after listening to what we enjoyed seeing and doing, she showed us on a map everything she thought we would enjoy. Anne was right on target and we loved everything we did. We stayed at the Pond Cabin which had an amazing view of the pond on one side, with a beautiful view of land and forest on the other side. Both had porches where we could sit and enjoy the view. In the cabin, we had everything we needed to be comfortable. Breakfast supplies were already in our cabin, which had an unexpected blessing. It meant, we did not need to get up at a certain time to be at a community breakfast at a different location. We were able to eat on our schedule and head out to follow the map to the locations Anne marked for us. We also enjoyed that everyone in town knew Anne, the minute we said we were staying at Butler Greenwood Bed and Breakfast. After a while, we got to where we would “name drop” that we were staying with Anne Butler because we enjoyed the special attention we got by our association with the famous author and historian, Anne Butler. Unfortunately, we had to cut our visit short due to a family need, but we will go back and stay with Anne again. Anne, thank you for an amazing adventure and sharing your beautiful Butler Greenwood Bed and Breakfast with us!

Such a beautiful place! Our two daughters and us plus another couple spent 3 nights at the Pool Pavilion. It was a wonderful experience. The property grounds are amazing and the pool was large and a center of fun. Check in was easy and quick, our hostess was very nice and accommodating.

Majesty and magical live oaks draped with Spanish moss line the drive into the plantation. Secluded and quiet , except for the bullfrog, we stayed at the Pond house. Accommodations were comfortable and quaint. Our refrigerator was supplied with continental breakfast fare and the coffee pot primed to perk. After a week of dining out, we opted to prepare dinner at our cottage taking advantage of the well stocked kitchen. Beds were comfortable.
