I arrived in the early evening, checked in and went to the room. I opened the door and was about to step inside when I saw there were used towels on the floor. I initially thought perhaps the room hadn’t been cleaned yet but then I noticed a man’s underwear lying around. I don’t know if the owner of the underwear was still there as I immediately shut the door and went back to reception. However, the room was clearly occupied and it is only by pure luck I didn’t walk in on someone just getting out of the shower. The receptionist was very apologetic and immediately offered an upgrade, however this was very unnerving for me, as a woman travelling solo. I didn’t sleep, thinking every noise in the corridor outside my door might be somebody about to come in, having been given the wrong room key. I may not travel every week for business but I do travel a fair bit and I have never had an experience like this. It might not have been quite so shocking in a less reputable hotel chain. I still don’t have an adequate explanation as to how this happened and what steps will be taken to ensure it doesn’t happen again, as such, it has put me off Radisson (and hotels in general as, from now on, I will always be nervous of the situation recurring and having some random stranger burst into the room.

It seems to be an older Radisson Blue and the guests come either way so not much effort has to be made anymore. Cleanliness and staff are lacking

Great stay despite a misunderstanding regarding number of guests in the family room (upgraded to junior suite😉) Overall pleasant and helpful staff, with the exception of one… Easy access to public transport.

This hotel is not just in the centre but not too far, it's still in walking distance. The railway station is also not too far. The room was clean with the minimum what one needs. I didnt have too much contact with the staff so cant say anything about it

Pros: 1. Good location away from the busy area of the town yet in close walking distance to the main market place, museums, restaurants and other attractions. 2. Decent breakfast offerings. Good attentive hosts who do their best to ensure your day is off to a good start. 3. Complimentary pass to access a local gym nearby. The hotel’s own fitness center is really next to nothing and consists of a couple of pieces of basic equipment. Cons: 1. As many reviewers have previously mentioned, the air conditioning system is pathetic to say the least. The window wouldn’t open fully. Be prepared to sweat a lot if the weather outside is warm. For this reason alone, I wouldn’t return here as a guest at least in the summer. 2. Experienced something extremely worrisome around 1:30pm Saturday afternoon on the day before my departure. Was working in my room with the privacy requested sign posted outside my door. Heard a quick soft knock immediately followed by the door lock being unlocked. The door then was pushed open till it was stopped by the security latch that was engaged at the time. I ran to the door and saw nobody through the peephole. Opened the door and went out to the hallway. Whoever tried to enter the door was long gone. Called the front desk about it who nonchalantly offered to make me a new key if wanted. I guess unwanted illegal entry to guess rooms isn’t something surprising or alarming to the staff. I felt that I couldn’t trust any of the employees there. Provided my feedback via the customer survey requested by Radisson after my stay.

A very good stay at this hotel, close to the Olma exhibition centre, yet good for access to the town centre. Great staff, very helpful at all times - nothing was too much trouble. Excellent rooms and facilities.

It was a fantastic vacation. Special thanks to Mathisha, from the bar THE BAY. A great guy who gave a perfect service, gentle, kind and should be a BIG BOSS. Dinnka is a great supervisior, very greeting, smily and hospital.

An excellent service provided by the hotel staff. The breakfast was exceptional with a wide range of fresh products. The room was spacious and pristine clean. The stay was perfect. I will stay at this establishment again.

Overall experience was very poor starting from check-in where the old computer system had not picke-up my information from the booking so that had to provide it again. Room was old and had a very bad smell so that my sleep quality was poor. And on top of that at check-out I was not even asked how my stay was, something that is part of the basics in any hotel. Big disappointment

We booked our room in this hotel in advance in May. In view of the warm weather expected in July, we chose the property on the basis that it was advertised as being fully air conditioned. We checked in on July 16 and were shocked to find the room was warm. When we checked with the reception, they said the air conditioning hasn’t been working for quite some time as the plant was going to be replaced. They said it was due to happen some time ago but hasn’t happened yet and they are very vague about when it will happen. We spent a sleepless night in extreme heat as the window is limited to open barely 15cms. The next day we were upgraded to a suite in their adjoining building where we were told the a/c was working. That seemed deliberate misinformation, as it wasn’t working there as well. On enquiring, it slipped out from a staff member that it wasn’t working in the entire hotel and the situation was desperate. It is shocking that we were not informed of this in advance. More shockingly, no one mentioned it at check in either and we were left to find out on our own after suffering in the heat. After spending another uncomfortable night in the suite, we checked out in disgust and moved into a smaller hotel opposite. I am shocked that the Radisson Group misleads its guests just to be able get short term business until they check out in disgust in a couple of days. We will be avoiding Radisson Hotels from now. Please do not book in this property.
