Friendly welcome and great room. Well appointed with everything you need. Plenty of plug points a heater fan and hairdryer. All the lotions and potions supplied. Located in the middle of all the amenities needed for a relaxing break. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

All staff friendly and helpful. Was able to check in early which was handy. Our room was a basic room at the side of the building which overlooked Wetherspoons garden. Was fine in early May but could be noisy in the summer months. Our room was quite warm and we needed the windows open but there is a fan if needed along with a hairdryer, iron and ironing board. The room was spotless including the bedding and towels. They provide handwash, shampoo and conditioner but no moisturiser. The bar area was really busy when we arrived but had a nice feel and was lovely for a nightcap. We didn't eat there at night due to meeting friends elsewhere but the restaurant was busy. Breakfast was an extra charge, not sure I'd pay it again. The full English was lovely and very filling but the continental side was lacking. There was plenty of cereals to choose from, however the only selection of fruit was a fruit salad ready chopped up and mixed, along with a bowl of natural yoghurt. There was only 1 type of pastry which looked a bit dry. We weren't down late so they should have been topped up. Location is lovely, right in the heart of the market town near a river. Plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants to choose from. Although there isn't any parking there is a long stay car park about 5 mins walk which charges £4 per 24 hours. Will definitely return

Great staff, very friendly. Great food. Very clean and comfortable hotel.

My friend and I had separate rooms. Mine was very small and was kept awake with snoring from the adjacent room. When I complained the next morning I was given an upgrade which I appreciated. My friends room had no windows and was extremely warm even with radiator off. Airless and stuffy with a strange smell!

Staff helpful and friendly, very comfortable bed and pillows, lovely breakfast and well presented. Have stayed previously and would stay again, definitely recommend. Although no hotel parking, this doesn't put us off as plenty local parking nearby.

We had a weekend stay and must say the whole experience was great The staff and manager were helpful and friendly. The room quality was really good and the food was also excellent. A private function with friends made the whole experience a wonderful time to remember!

One night stay while visiting local area . Room and staff were great, only negative was proximity of neighbouring church. I could have touched the building next door through window which made it slightly oppressive. Not a problem once curtains shut.
