Nous avons été ravis de cet hôtel : propre, sympa, et calme. Patrons trop sympas. Il manque juste un parking, même si on a de la place dans le village

We were on a road trip from Cherbourg to the south of France and randomly picked this small town to stay. We made a booking to stay at Hotel Le Barriol and we were so pleased to have found this delightful place for our over night stay. Firstly, the place starts with Domonique and his charming wife. Their welcome was so friendly and genuine. We checked in and the rooms were perfect. Great mattresses, pillows, towels. The shower was perfect and it felt so comfortable. After a walk around the town we returned and asked to book dinner at the hotel. As part of our road trip, we were looking forward to experiencing the best of local cuisine. We never expected to be eating authentic Mexican cuisine in the middle of France. We are so pleased we did though. Domonique explained his influences in cooking from many years of travelling and living in Mexico. We were in awe of the delicious meal he prepared and it was paired with the best Margarita I've had in a long time and some incredible Mexican wine from the north west coast of Mexico . For one evening we had been transported to the town of Tabasco, Mexico where, his lovely wife comes from. A really charming, well appointed hotel run by the most charming people you could wish to meet. If you're reading this review, all I can say is "take a chance". Out there are some extraordinary people whose hospitality is some of the finest we've experienced. Oh and yes, it's such good value. Thank you to all who looked after us. Best regards Kevin & Mick.

If you are noise sensitive to noice from neighbors, the street and want to sleep till later than 7:00 am this hotel is a challenge!! Room is clean but rather small and the standard is very low! The price-value relationship is ridiculous so choose this as your first choice!

Grande chambre , calme et confortable; bonne literie. Belle salle de bains. Accueil très sympathique. Restaurant de spécialités mexicaines excellent et original. Assiettes copieuses et prix contenus. Une bonne adresse à retenir pour un prochain passage

Hôtel sympathique tout comme le couple de gérant. Établissement bien tenu, propre, confortable, situé au cœur du village. Bon petit déjeuner et restaurant agréable. Que ce soit pour une soirée étape ou un court séjour, parfait rapport qualité prix.

Situé sur une des étapes du chemin de randonnée St-Régis, on a pu apprécier le très bon accueil, la chambre agréable et les repas pris dans le restaurant. Tout était bien pour notre plus grande satisfaction !

Très bon hôtel d'étape, des propriétaires très sympas et très avenants. Concernant la chambre - tout à fait conforme à ce qui est décrit - les draps sont jolis mais tiennent un peu chaud bizarrement. Très bon petit-déjeuner, pain frais. Un expresso aurait été bien venu mais c'est un détail.

Cet hôtel a changé de propriétaire récemment Dominique ayant succédé à Jean-Luc Accueil sympa mais pour dîner la carte ne propose pas de menu de type européen (à midi menu du jour local simple ). Obligé de prendre du mexicain certes travaillé sans épices mais exotique. Chambres légèrement au dessus d’un tarif que l’on voudrait voir pratiqué pour un confort à minima 3*, petit dèj également un peu cher compte tenu du choix relativement restreint. On est en Haute Loire pas au Mexique ni dans une station de haute montagne!
