The Beachcomber Beach Resort Hotel

Big rooms and comfy beds. The beach was fantastic. Great location. In general, the place could use some updates but it was decent. I don't think I would stay here again. I'd go to the Hilton next door for a little more per night and get free breakfast.

We stayed at The Beachcomber because of it's location and amenities - direct beach access, complimentary chairs and umbrellas, and Jimmy B's Beach bar connected to the hotel. Jimmy B's has great live music (all day on Saturdays and Sundays), and a huge outdoor deck right on the beach. It was a perfect location. The hotel itself, is an older hotel with renovated rooms, which are modest, and fairly small, with a tiny bathroom, but nice enough. The courtyard, which our room overlooked is beautiful, with hammocks and two pools. The room was clean, but you can tell its an older holder, with metal door frames that have rusted a bit from the salt air. The staff is very kind and helpful, especially Bill on the beach, who sets up your umbrella, offers you water, and will give you ideas of places to go during your stay. The only downside is that you can hear the music in the bar until about 11pm, so if youre an early sleeper, this may be a problem. We were fairly close to the bar, so ask for a room that is as far from the bar as possible. There is also no breakfast restaurant right at the hotel, but there is always fresh coffee in the lobby, a Dunkin' across the street, and Im sure other restaurants nearby. We will stay here again, in fact, we are considering having our very small, casual wedding celebration here.

Let’s be real - this is definitely a two star hotel, and if you’re there to just sleep in your room and don’t care too much about comfort or cleanliness, then it’s fine for the price. If you’d like a few more comforts - look elsewhere. The grounds are nice and their beach is beautiful. I especially appreciate that you don’t have to pay extra for beach chairs/umbrellas as two are included daily with your room. But as far as the room goes, you definitely get what you pay for.

A beautiful resort and AMAZING staff! I called a couple of times prior to my stay to ask a few questions and each time I had the pleasure speaking with Terrance. He addressed all of my questions in such a friendly manner. You could tell he is passionate about his job. Check in day, Rachel at the front desk was so accommodating! It was a smooth check in and she moved our room so we could be closer to my God Parents. Anthony was great! He had checked in my God Parents and made sure their names were on the room in case they misplaced their room keys. We were back and forth from our room and the beach and each time, Ms. Tina - super sweet room attendant would ask if we needed anything. She remembered our names as if we've been there for weeks. At checkout, we encountered Alice at the front desk. She asked how our stay was. Our response: Amazing! Again, another staff member with such a friendly attitude. These days, it is hard to come by 5 Star customer service, but stay at the Beachcomber St. Pete and 5+ Star service is what you will receive! Thank you all and we'll see you soon!

The photographer was great with us and took her time to find great angles for our shoot. She was friendly and easy to work with. We got our photos the same night and she was patient as we viewed and chose our favorites. We recommend this photography company.

I love this place. Two pools, right on the beach, and their beach bar is one of the most popular around. I was worried it would be too loud from the live band but I was pleasantly surprised to find I couldn’t even hear it from my room. Everything was clean and updated.

Room was a bit dated and musty smell

We loved the location of this property - right on the beach! The staff was very friendly. We enjoyed the live music. Everything else wasn’t as nice. The rooms are dated. Our room lost power and we had to switch rooms (grateful it wasn’t busy season so there was another room available!). So many of the guests were walking up and down the hallway from midnight to 3am laughing and yelling. Three doors down wreaked of **** & we had to pass every time we wanted to go to the beach. Our fridge wasn’t plugged in & we didn’t know, so our leftovers from dinner were ruined and we had to throw them away. Not a family friendly hotel, which made us happy our kids were not with us. Would not stay here again.
