The good- location is very convenient to the downtown/pier area. Not convenient to the beach areas which you have to drive to and have limited parking. That was my fault for not knowing the layout of the town. Manager Rob tried very hard to address issues and that effort was appreciated. Room was adequate and in line with cost. I first realized there were issues when they forgot to put soap in our room and I had to go down to get some from desk. Second issue that was quickly apparent was the room lock was very poorly functional with key cards either not working at all or quickly losing their functionality (no we did not keep them near our phones). We went through at least 10 keys in 4 days, often locked out of our room after a long day at the beach. Rob tried to change batteries and reprogram but didn't work. Breakfast consisted of mini muffins from Walmart/Costco or similar, a make your own waffle machine and some apples and oranges. Clearly subpar compared to what you would get at a bargain chain hotel. Housekeeping was barely there. Of the 3 days, they made the bed once and emptied the trash twice. They never swept despite it being a beach hotel where sand is, of course, an issue. I presume they did a full clean on the 4th day after we left. When inquiring at the desk about this, they tell me that they only make the beds when they have enough staff in to do that. I expect more for $250 a night. Granted, that's not luxury hotel rates but its like they can't decide if they want to be high quality/full service or bargain basement and are stuck in no man's land. We will not be returning.
