Best Hotels in Sala Comacina, Italy

I love this place for its location near a huge forest great for running and cycling - even on a freezing winter morning! It was a good price, well organised, friendly staff and very clean. It is away from most things near an industrial estate but I chose it for the proximity to the forest and all the trails there :) It was also a simple walk to a small town with pizza and some basics. I didn't have the breakfast as it seemed quite expensive and was too busy running ;)

The rooms are very comfortable and Cosy , nice environment, the hotel is close to the metro station and there are many restaurants around

I would say this was an ok hotel. The hotel itself was alright in terms of rooms, staff, cleanliness etc. Wasn't aware there was a motel next door so that was a surprise when we first arrived. It was smack bang in the middle of Lake Como and Milan which was decent Two things I would say is REALLY important and it was not advertised or mentioned by the booking company we booked with or in any reviews I had read: 1) as it's in the middle of a motorway, public transport is pretty much non existent. Closet station was a 22 mintue walk from the hotel which was ridiculous. We spent faaaaaaaaar to much money on cabs in order to move anywhere outside the hotel. Which leads into the next point... 2) getting an Uber or calling a cab was as hard as finding a needle in a haystack. A constant battle on where we were going to get out next cab out of the hotel to get anywhere every morning because it was that hard to get taxi's. When asked at the reception they mentioned because the hotel is in Lomazzo there isn't a taxi rank or company based here so cabs will need to be called out from either Milan or Lake Como in order to collect anyone at the hotel. Which is very silly. The hotel did have thier own driver however having 1 or 2 drives for the whole hotel was very silly because he wasn't always available (who can be surprised) A separate side note is on the breakfast 'buffet' it wasn't amazing. Very basic considering its a 4* hotel, I've had better choices in Travelodge. I hear that Italians aren't big on breakfast but some options would be appreciated! Would I stay here again? Defo not! But if you're going to hire a car then it's not a bad shout to stay here as you have your own transport to get to places plus parking I believe is free at the hotel.

It was truly fabulous stay!!! We've been deeply impressed: The best view on the Como lake and one of the best views ever!!! Service personnel – friendly and caring, with that personal touch that you won’t get in most of the big hotels. You couldn’t get the better value for the very decent at the Como lake price! First of all, ignore all the reviews older than a year, because it’s pretty much a new hotel. This place should have much higher reviews. It’s a newly refurbished hotel in a great location, only 20-30 minute drive from all the lakes, and 15 minutes to Varese. It includes free parking for all guests. The style of the Hotel is a mix of retro and modern inspired by 50s American diner, with cool neon lights and beautifully tasty furniture with a contemporary feel. We stayed in a Standard Room, which was more than big enough for my wife and I. The bed was massive and comfortable. We were able to ask for two more pillows which they gave us without any hesitation. There is a huge TV, fast Wi-Fi and USB charging ports on either side of the bed. The bathroom is crisp, clean, modern and spacious. Amazing shower with rainfall shower head and handheld option. Sink, bidet and toilet. The usual. Breakfast is also included and is plentiful. Different options to choose from different hams and turkeybreast, cheeses, various sweet options like cookies and pastries. There is a coffee machine that is available 24/7 as well as a fridge with drinks and selection of chocolates and snacks, which works with an Honesty System where you must write down whatever you take. I cannot praise this hotel more that giving it five stars. I’m very picky when it comes to choosing hotels, especially since we stayed for seven nights. We will absolutely be back. Lastly, the best part of the stay were the staff. Every single one of the employees from the receptionists to the housekeeping girls were stupendous and lovely. They made our stay worthwhile. So thanks to all of them. This is an example of how every hotel in the world should be managed :-)

It's a fairytale! It took me a lot to decide if to take the risk to travel or not. I'm glad I did take the risk! This is the first holiday when I don't check anything about the place I was going to stay, surrounding area not at all, just wanted to escape London for a bit. From far one of the most beautiful places I've ever stayed. The hotel looks like a museum, incredibly amazing, surprises didn't chased to happen, they have a pool, tennis court, soccer court so many facilities, it's crazy. The room I've stayed, stunning,the view from the balcony took my breath away. It's quite, it's beautiful, it's perfect! Hotel stuff, they couldn't do any better than this, friendly, willing to assist whenever necessary, I felt like home! I've even got an early check in 🤗.Thank you Domenico, Monica, Andrea, Manpreet and everyone else!!! For anyone looking to escape the madness from a busy city like London let's say, this is the best place to be! P.S. make sure you bring mosquitoes spray, as I've mentioned I haven't done any inquiries before coming so, mosquitoes attack wasn't fun at all. I was looking forward to have dinner in the outdoors restaurant which ended up being a nightmare, but it was entirely my fault, the hotel is located on a hill, surrendered by trees obviously you'll have to deal with mosquitoes. This place definitely has its pro’s and con’s and it depends what sacrifices you are willing to make for price. Looking at other reviews I thought I wouldn’t mind it as I’m not too fussy usually but overall I felt uncomfortable and didn’t really want to stay any longer than I had to: Pro’s -Good cheap price -Whilst further out, it’s super convenient for public transport right outside the hotel only 2 euro to get into Milan only takes 30 mins tops -The man on reception was lovely and very helpful -Rooms are big and whilst very dated and nothing to shout home about if you’re used to budget travelling they aren’t filthy or falling apart -Nice big shower room -Fast, free Wi-Fi and slippers and towels Cons -We felt the area at times was slightly scary (although we did first arrive at night) some concerning characters/gangs in surrounding areas and appeared to be in the hotel as well. It’s a pretty rundown area and we didn’t feel very comfortable there -The walls - I’ve never known anything quite like it to be honest it was so so loud I could hear absolutely everything the entire time. Babies crying, doors shutting, people talking/shouting, playing music, stomps up the hallway - constantly and late into the night waking us up. This all added to the sense of un-ease as it didn’t seem like you were on your own and I couldn’t relax in the room and just wanted to leave. -We were also in an outhouse which wouldn’t usually be a problem but felt so exposed as it was that it just added to the feeling Despite all the positives we couldn’t look past these negatives and I really wouldn’t recommend regardless of price.

Vorrei sottolineare come primo aspetto che il profumo all'interno di un hotel dovrebbe essere calibrato in quanto ci sono persone allergiche a cui la profumazioni così forte può dare problemi. Ok profumo di pulito, ma un erogatore è esagerato. Dopo il check in ho seguito le indicazioni per raggiungere la camera che era nella struttura esterna e dopo 10 minuti che vagavo ( perché le indicazioni erano vecchie e non chiare a detta dell'hotel ) sono rientrata e mi sono fatta accompagnare dal ragazzo della reception che mi ha confessato che lui non sapeva nemmeno dove cercare la mia camera perché non era mai uscito dalla struttura e non sapeva dove fosse la mia camera. Ho poi cambiato subito camera perché con moquette. Nel momento dell'ordine non era indicata la pavimentazione e ho dovuto aggiungere 10 euro per cambiare camera . Ho trovato poca professionalità e in un hotel a 4 stelle credo non sia ammissibile.

I was on business trip with two other guys. Paid 274€ for one night and I think it wayyyy too much. Nothing specail on this on. Located basicly middle of no where and once again, really over priced. Wahsing room sinks water tap did not work where its supposed to work. So it was close and if you used it...no water went away, because tap did not ope...I took the tap away... But more problematic and really bad thing is, that room door did not lock always. Sometimes you have to open and close it 10 times before it locked. Sometimes 6 times. I think first time I left the room unlocked... We came to hotel lqte evening and I did not want to start changing the room, so I ****** it up...but 274€ for a night ??? Ny buddy had problem with auto heting/cooling, no adjustmen working. Someone came and resetted/booted the heating/cooling system. Windows dirty, unable to take a pix for example from 9th floor.
