Comfortable accommodations. Friendly staff! Keep in mind that this property doesn't abut the beach, instead it is a property off the main road. So there may be some road noise, but I personally didn't mind at all. There is a trail that leads to the beach, and that section of beach have bars and restaurants! Small, simple, clean bungalows. Comfortable. There were multiple sizes of bungalows, though, and I had the smallest one. Hosts are very helpful and can book services for you. I would recommend this property if you are looking to stay in the northern part of the island.

We stayed in papillon for a week and we really envoyed it. Everybody is very helpfull and nice, you really feeling like you re at home. The swimming pool is very good for young kids. Also the restaurant is great, spécial mention for the pad thaï spécial. 😊

Great and wonderful staff! Very kind and very helpful.
The room was big, comfy bed (if you like a hard matress). Huge bathroom - though every night the cockroaches got in the bathroom… The room in general could use a paint makeover.
Quiet surroundings wich was nice.
200-300 mtrs to the beach but the road wasn’t really distinct. You can encounter various animals on your way to the beach!
They dont accept credit card, only cash! (Wich is weird given its almost 2024..)

Papillon is a great place for lazy days in Koh Lanta. It is family friendly with an afternoon shaded pool and Christer with staff is helpfull in a relaxed and serviceminded fashion. The bungalow was clean and cool and the bed was rock solid. The ocean is close by with two options of axcess. Down by the Chalet you will find a restaurant, a café and sunbeds. The other leads to Pangea beach bar. You can swim in the ocean all day long. The real gem of the place though is the in-house restaurant well worh a trip by itself if you live elsewhere. The meny offers one of the tastiest thai food selection we came across during our Thailand adventure. It is within a comfortable price range and served by a great staff. Plenty of bang for the buck. The care taker Aein in the reception is fantastic, what a star.

Great value accommodation near the beach. Super friendly and welcoming staff. Good breakfasts. Pool area was nice to cool down and shady in the afternoons when the shade has gone from the beach. Good location just off the main road in long beach near restaurants and shops. Only 5 minutes walk to the beach too. Kids loved the bunk beds, hammock and pancakes for breakfast! Perhaps a little tired in places and could benefit from some tlc but nothing to stop us wanting to return, hope to come back one day!

Eine solide Wahl- sofern man ohne (kleine) Kinder unterwegs ist. Uns war bei der Buchung bewusst dass der Pool eher klein sein würde (was er tatsächlich ist, dafür aber liebevoll gestaltet). Es ist auch klar dass das Papillon nicht direkt am Meer liegt. Aber: beim Pool hat vor allem das Drumherum keinerlei Charme oder Aufenthaltsqualität. Den Fotos aus der Vergangenheit zufolge war das schon mal anders. So bekommt man 5 ungepflegte Liegen und einen Betonplatz. Der Weg zum Meer ist für Kinder nicht zu empfehlen. Er ist vermüllt, teils auch mit Glasscherben. Als wir dort gegangen sind wurde zudem Müll verbrannt. Der Strandabschnitt selbst kein Schmuckstück. Erst ein paar hundert Meter nördlich wird es besser. Das Essen und auch das Frühstück waren top. Wir waren begeistert. Der Bungalow sauber und zweckmäßig. Die Anlage insgesamt sehr luftig. Eigentlich jede Menge Potenzial, leider nicht (mehr?) wirklich genutzt.

On a bien aimé notre séjour de 4 nuits qui s'est transformé en 10 nuits. Les bungalows offrent tout le confort. Chambres faites quotidiennement. Jolie petite piscine. L'ambiance est très sympa avec des proprios qui donnent une mine d'infos sur l'île. Le personnel est très gentil. La plage est à côté à quelques minutes à pied. Bref, on a adoré !

Very friendly and helpful owner and staff. Great location, central around long beach, lots of bars and restaurants on the beach side and street side in either direction. Very quick walk to the beach. Great breakfast with multiple options. Loved the deck area with chairs and hammocks, spacious room. AC worked well and there was a cold mini-fridge. The grounds were very well kept and nice walkway with great lighting at night. Would definitely stay again next time in ko lanta.
The only negative was the bathroom could use some work, the toilet seat needed to be replaced(broken) and the shelf above the sink needed to be re-screwed in was worried about putting anything on it, same with towel rack(sagging). Was one of the most spacious bathrooms i've had in Thailand, which was nice but still when you shower water everywhere.
