Hotels Near Oskar-Moritz Park in Salach

We were visiting Stuttgart and opted to stay well outside the city in the town of Goppingen - it was wonderful. The hotel appears to have been recently renovated and everything (lobby, guest rooms; breakfast area; etc) is sleek and modern. Centrally located in a busy pedestrian area, there are dozens of shops, cafes, and stores to explore just outside the front door. AN IMPORTANT NOTE: the hotel really is located in a pedestrian walkway, so you cannot drive to the front door. If driving a car, park in the garage under the hotel and take the elevator up to register. With a myriad of one way streets and walkways, set your GPS for Geislinger Strasse 21 and save yourself some of the headaches we had. The guest rooms were very reasonably sized and more than adequate for the amount of time we spent in them. Two queen beds, a large flat screen tv, and a small hassock to perch on by a built in desk/countertop was all that we needed. It was clean; it was very comfortable; it was perfect. The bathroom was also nicely appointed with hair dryer, great lighting, and a wonderful shower. The included breakfast was excellent. Fresh meats and cheeses. Wonderfully fresh and tasty breads, roll, and pastries. Musli, cereal, fruit, pancakes, cucumbers, and tomatoes. Everything was served fresh and the staff excellent at keeping everything full well past the advertised time for breakfast. The dining area, itself, is large, bright, and airy; and, we thoroughly enjoyed every morning here planning our day of sightseeing. The staff (front desk, breakfast, housekeeping) were all cordial and efficient in all our interactions and we thank them all for a wonderful stay. You simply cannot go wrong staying in this gem of a hotel.

Even though it has recently been upgraded, the Bad Boll Seminaris hotel has the charms and many of the amenities of a youth hostel. On the positive side, it is a clean, no hassle place to stay. At the same time, the bathrooms are in an urgent need for a make-over, the bar feels very rustic, and the bowling alley… well having a bowling alley somehow says it all and is a reminder of an amenity you might have expected in the 80s. Practical and get’s the job done, no more, no less.

Die Zimmer sind modern eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Die Toilette ist vom Bad getrennt, was sehr angenehm ist. Von der Toilette ist das Bad aber direkt zugänglich, was sinnvoll gelöst ist. Warum der Fön in einer Tragetasche an der Wand hängt und nicht fest montiert wurde, ist nicht ganz nachvollziehbar. Die Betten sind sehr bequem, die Decken bei sommerlichen Temperaturen zu warm, zumal man die Klimaanlage aufgrund der Zugluft die Nacht nicht durchlaufen lassen kann. Leider gibt es auch keine Anleitung für die Einstellung der Klimaanlage, die über zahlreiche Tasten und Funktionen verfügt, die nicht unbedingt selbsterklärend sind. Das Hotel liegt zentral am Rand der Innenstadt direkt am Bus- und Zugbahnhof. Bei geschlossenen Fenstern ist dies aber nicht störend. Die Zimmer sind sehr gut schallisoliert für Außenlärm, allerdings nicht bei Veranstaltungen im Haus. Es wurde zwar im Vorfeld mitgeteilt, dass in einer Nacht eine Veranstaltung im Haus zu Lärmbelästigungen führen kann, das hilft aber nicht, wenn nachts um 3 Uhr immer noch die Bässe vom 7. Stock bis in den zweiten Stock durchwummern. Es ist ein Unding, Veranstaltungen mit einer derartigen Lärmbelästigung in einem Hotel bis mitten in die Nacht durchzuführen, was normalerweise zum Schlafen gebucht wird, was der Zweck eines Hotels ist, insbesondere wenn Gäste im Haus sind, die nichts mit der Veranstaltung zu tun haben. Hier wäre zumindest eine Preisminderung für die Nacht angemessen gewesen. Die in der Eigenwerbung versprochene Bar und Dachterasse im 7. Stock mit tatsächlich tollen Ausblick konnte an zwei von drei Abenden wegen geschlossener Gesellschaften nicht besucht werden. Als Alternative konnte man sich im Erdgeschoss in der Lobby mit einem begrenzten Getränkesortiment versorgen lassen, was keine gleichwertige Alternative zu einer schönen Hotelbar ist. Bei geschlossenen Veranstaltungen auch mit externen Gästen sind die vorhandenen Parkplätze nicht ausreichend und Hotelgäste haben ggfs. das Nachsehen. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut und vielseitig, da ist für alle Wünsche etwas dabei. Das Servicepersonal beim Frühstück und am Empfang ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam.

Within easy walking distance from the town centre and the railway station, the hotel has a lovely old-fashioned family feeling. The prices may be a little high for the state of the rooms (mine had a bathtub shower that was not all that easy to get in and out of, and the lighting was not the brightest), but the staff were all friendly and warm and the breakfast buffet was excellent, with great breads and hummus as well as eggs and sausages.

Stayed here on the way to Austria and ideal for that. Fairly remote from a town or village but close enough to gas stations and eateries. Very nice hotel with a cool and hip design. The rooms are also qualitatively furnished. Friendly staff and extensive breakfast. Free parking in front of the door. Very favorable price (but that will have a lot to do with the location).

The hotel is on the mountain and overlooks the town at the foot of the mountain. The hotel has many saunas and there are restaurants next to it. The courtyard full of autumn leaves is still very beautiful, but the hotel is very difficult to access the Internet. There is a room with almost no signal. The big bed room doesn't feel very big.
