Food wasnt good and looks old.

This review is more about my experience with attempting to book a SCUBA trip at the water sports hut. There is a banner attached to the hut that recognizes them as a PADI dive center. When I arrived at the building, a man named Bruce introduced himself. I told him my son and I were looking for a few sessions of SCUBA diving. He explained that he could get everything booked and scheduled through a dive shop at the next resort. He explained the process the morning of the dive as being picked up by a boat here at the resort, performing a refresher in a pool at the dive center, then boating to the dive sites. A deposit was paid (unfortunately in cash) and scheduled for 2 days later. The following day he would us on the beach and said we weren’t meeting here at the resort, rather just outside the resort, then would travel to the dive center. The morning of the dives I started to doubt the whole process. When we met Bruce at the gate, I asked a few questions and he explained that this was NOT through a dive center. He would be taking us out on his own and it would not be by boat. I told him I was not comfortable anymore and he agreed to work with a dive shop if that was the route we wanted to go. He asked that we meet him there again in an hour after he spoke to the dive shop to ask about the schedule. After we left, we decided to visit a dive center at a nearby resort and book our dives. Bruce is NOT affiliated with Royal Decameron in any capacity. I should have done a bit more research on my part. The money that was given to him can be replaced. Someone’s life cannot. Do your part and thoroughly research dive centers in the area. Do NOT trust the people at the hotel desk. They are the ones that sent me to the water sports area on the beach where Bruce was located.

It was very horrible, will never stay there again

TERRIBLE! AWFUL! LACK CUSTOMER SERVICE! If you are reading this I implore you to keep your money and travel somewhere else. This place needs help. The staff is very unhappy and they say it. The rooms needs upgrade, showers awful, the shingle in the roof has so much hole in it. The staff at the restaurant is very unpleasant especially at the grill. No AC in the club. Food kept running out from the buffet line. No cups at the beach bar, staff telling you to bring your own cups. Only one bottle of water in the mini bar for the entire stay(4 nights) it had never been restocked. Other persons in the party had to change rooms because the shower was looking so bad they felt bad having a bath inside it. Big up Nicholas at the Mediterranean restaurant. Management need to give the so-call supervisor for that restaurant some Customer service training as well as the restaurant manager. Food- 7/10 Customer service- 1/10 Room-3/10 Bar-5/10 Beach-9/10 Staff-2/10 [Nicholas and the ENT Crew] Entertainment- 5/10 Property-3/10 Front desk- 5/10 [unhappy people therefore services was just because they had no choice]

The property was very clean, beautiful and well maintained, the entrainment team was amazing, front desk team was very pleasant. Dining room team wasn’t that warm and friendly however Stephanie was exceptionally, she provided great hospitality and customer service. I would return just because of the service I received from Stephanie.

Go with an open mind, but some huts dirty and require upgrading. Some staff are great others rude and argumentative with no customer service etiquette. They feel that they are doing you a favour . Manager , David in the dining room ,Owen and Anabel👍👍🏾

Some rooms below standard need upgrading and dirty. No fridge as standard. David at the desk, SM security manager rude, argumentative , aggressive and poor attitudes to guests. D from the desk only seen smiling when talking to the female TUI rep! Rules not written up or in general display and guess expected to know what they are . Some staff look annoyed when you ask them a polite question. This applies to the desk staff in general. Sullen , limited eye contact and miserable. No welcoming smile computer says no or maybe if I feel like. Housekeepers lovely, hard working and helpful. David dinning room, Manager Owen porter and Anabel TUI rep professional and helpful. Managers in the making for sure. A credit to the organisation. Entertainment 👍🏾 great and every night which was a bonus. No fridge as standard in the rooms takes about 2 days to get one. No tea or coffee making facilities in the rooms but a tea and coffee station available near the dinning room 24 hours. The food was ok but corners cut for example no dumplings in the soup for dietary reasons. Why not provide two pots dumplings and no dumplings. Garden pepper available on request. Swimming areas, beach and gardens immaculate. Cats numerous and fed by guests dispute signs saying not to. TUI needs to be upfront about this hotel especially if disabled guests are staying. The property needs investment and the cottages which haven't been upgraded upgraded immediately or not rented out as they are not value for money and a health and safety hazard. So sorry not for me in future but you may like it.

The hotel smells bad, we didn’t even check in because the place looks dirty. The staff were very nice but I couldn’t stay. It looked nothing like the website. The food was nasty. I had to pay $$1142.00 to go to a different hotel. Would never recommend to anyone I know.
