Pour qui recherche calme et sérénité, le Relais Sant’Elena est l’endroit de rêve. Au milieu de la campagne toscane dans un décor de carte postale on s’y sent vraiment bien. Le petit déjeuner est unique et majestueux avec une variété impressionnante de mets salés et sucrés faits maison dont une grande partie change tous les jours. Pour les autres repas, la carte fait la part belle aux spécialités toscanes cuisinées avec soins. C’est un régal. Très belle carte des vins. Le personnel est charmant et bienveillant. La literie est hyper confortable. Le grand jardin entourant la piscine est magnifiquement fleuri et entretenu. Des VTT sont mis gratuitement à disposition. Un lieu tout simplement extraordinaire!

By far one of the most exceptional hotel stays I've ever experienced. A bucolic escape where no one is rushed. The surrounding farm land is breath-taking and the food, farm-fresh is deliciously curated. The rooms are beautifully appointed with antiques and French linens. And the spa and pool area are peaceful and relaxing. I highly recommend.

This hotel is stunning. It took our breath away when we first saw it. The location was fabulous for driving to Tuscany’s charming villages and sites, but removed enough that you can relax by the pool, drink a spritz and turn off. The rooms are clean and spacious and have outdoor space to enjoy. Chef Steph's cooking class was terrific. I highly recommend this option if you’re looking to bring some of your trip and knowledge home with you. Mountain bikes can be used around the property and visit the olive trees, vineyard and animals. The property is also attached to a park with many hiking and biking trails. We ate most of our meals here during our stay. There’s no reason to go anywhere else. The food was outstanding. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay perfect. I wouldn’t change a thing!

We did not like:
Their mountain bikes were poorly maintained. (Gears did not work at all smoothly, or reliably. Brakes were weak.)
We are cyclists.
We requested a short route. They suggested a 1 hour trail and we returned in 3 1/2. The trail was NOT for bicycles. NOT bikeable. Very unsafe. Large gravel, rocks strewn everywhere along the path, no stability or traction, therefore requiring getting off the bikes and walking. Ridiculous. Ruined our morning and our subsequent afternoon plans. We were glad we did not have an accident.
The bed mattress needed to be replaced. We 'slid' to the centre.
The maitre d's attitude at dinner was one of indifference. We were craning our necks for service. However, he seemed to be pleasant to some tables. We got his indifference.

Hands down one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. Extremely courteous and helpful staff with all our requests. Super attentive to detail in a unique setting. If I go back to those parts I don't know if I would be able to go to other places.
