Marshwood Farm B&B

We had a very negative experience with this bed and breakfast. trip.com made an error with the booking by selling it to me at the wrong rate. It also marked as dog friendly. When we arrived on the property the owner, Fiona, let me know that trip.com had made an error, and that I hadn’t paid enough for the booking. She then said that she was not dog friendly but I could stay there with the dog sleeping in the car. I suggested I could find somewhere else provided they would cancel the booking. She agreed and said that she would cancel the booking so we went somewhere else. Afterwards when I asked for the refund it turns out that Fiona refused to cancel the booking even though she said to me in person that she would do this. I was very upset because obviously I could’ve stayed there overnight if she hadn’t told me that she would offer me a refund. I was really shocked as when I spoke to her on the phone she was unfriendly cold and absolutely vile. In great contrast to her husband who is extremely welcoming and friendly. I really don’t recommend and even though yes the app and Trip.com might be responsible for the error, the way that people handle conflict is the true testimony of a persons character.

Lovely quiet rural property

Great place to stay, comfy beds, amazing room, tasty food. The hosts were really friendly. I would definitely recommend staying here.

We spent two nights in the B&B Blue room, a beautiful big, bright and characterful room overlooking fields of green. It was absolutely spotless and very well equipped. The location was great, close to Salisbury and Wilton. Fiona and Mark were so friendly and engaging. Breakfast was absolutely delicious with the choice of hot, cold or both meals. We highly recommend Marshwood !

My sister and I stayed four nights in the spacious Blue Room at Marshwood Farmhouse B&B which had large windows overlooking sheep grazing in the fields and the back garden. The room and the ensuite bath and shower were spotless and brightly lit. The beds were firm and the hospitality tray welcome. We enjoyed our full English breakfast and conversation with other visitors to Salisbury, some of whom were regularly returning guests to the B&B. Fiona was personable and helpful, recommending restaurants and pubs and sharing interesting information about the area. We appreciated Marshwood Farmhouse’s location in the quiet country, easy to find and not too far from the main roads. We will happily stay there again when we next visit the Salisbury area.

We had a very lovely stay at Marshwood Farm. My wife and I stayed in the beautiful , big and airy Bliie Room, my mother in the very nice Green Room, and our teenage daughters loved to stay in the Shepherds Hut Bluebell, a pleasant arrangement, with breakfast together in the big breakfast room, and a supper al fresco at the Hut with a great view of the rolling hills and the sunset. The breakfast was very good with eggs and tomatoes that couldn’t be fresher! ( we saw them literally picked!) The estate is on a little country lane among the fields and hills between Dinton and Wylye. Very peaceful and quite apart from the occasional bleat of the sheep! Fiona was a wonderful host, who was very helpful in many ways. A stay here is absolutely recommended !

What a lovely warm welcome by Fiona. The house is gorgeous and the room was very spacious with a big comfortable bed. The breakfast was excellent. Stayed for three nights and couldn't resist to have the full breakfast with home grown products.

This delightful 17th century farmhouse feels a bit like staying in a minor National Trust property. The bedrooms are spacious, airy, spotlessly clean and well furnished with storage. The guests breakfast room delightful and the cooked farm breakfast delicious. We spent a very pleasant two nights here and would happily go back again.
