We stayed here on Sunday and I was very disappointed with this hotel. The location is wonderful but the rooms need some attention, as do the hallways and breakfast room. We came back to the hotel on Sunday night around 10.30 for a drink. Unfortunately the hotel doesn't have any staff at night. There was only one guy on shift trying his best to be a bar man, security, receptionist, and deal with a customer complaint. It was really hard to watch. It took over 40 minutes to get our drinks, and the order was wrong, and my partners pint looked like one of the worst pulled pints we have ever seen. This member of staff is clearly not trained on the bar area. The advantage of staying in a hotel is obviously staff on call to look after you and a bar to get a drink. It is super unfair to the guests and the one member of staff that the hotel had on shift trying his best to fill the roles of at least 3 members of staff. Breakfast was awful, I had to ask 3 times for items to be restocked, no eggs, no milk, and no bread for toast. I was actually told the bread was getting defrosted. I was greeted with an attitude from the staff member when I asked for the eggs and bread. My food ended up being cold, waiting for the items to be refilled. Obviously, the staff aren't trained on how to run the breakfast area. They should be trained to make sure the stock is replenished before there is nothing left for the guests. The lack of staff training and attention to detail really let's this hotel down. You do not get the hotel experience because the staff need training, and the management needs to look at the service that is being offered to guests at night. It is not acceptable to have one member of staff on dealing with the reception area, complaints, security, and bar services. I definitely wouldn't recommend staying here. Its not cheap and there are far better hotels to stay in. Don't waste your money
