5th time here. Has always been the go to hotel for us in Salisbury. Over the years it seems to have worn some. Staff is friendly as always and very helpful. Very historic rooms, which is a plus and a minus. Have been in both the old ones and the new ones. This last time we were in room 17. The furnishings, though period appropriate were worn out and not kept. The sofa sides were loose and it was worn and old and gross. The bed, four poster, was neat, but the mattress was lumpy, uneven and we gave us back aches. The ensuite was large with both a shower and bath. But the shower looked to have mold in it. The breakfast was a Buffett. Lots of choices, but be sure to get there in good time. Hope they can tidy up a few items and get it back to where how we remember it.
