Had a happy holiday here a few years back so brought hubby on a day pass as we were staying elsewhere. He wasn’t impressed - no sunbeds available by 10am. Very overcrowded on the beach so no solution there. Unfriendly staff. A very different clientele, may be due to half term, as don’t recall many children last time. A smoking and drinking crowd that were loud and very unlike the mature age set of the past. The lunch menu looked poor, but we actually enjoyed the food. Mango Bay use to have a reputation for its food, so that was reassuring. The other big change was the netted swim area, which is needed due to the mass boat traffic and jet skis. The cats didn’t use to stop one after one outside mango, so I suspected the turtles had moved in to the area …. So that’s the good news…. If you are a strong swimmer it’s not far to swim out to their anchorage (not very safe though). I saw 3 turtles, 3 sting rays and s huge tarpon in the morning. 4 turtles in the afternoon… So for me the day was worth it. Hubby not impressed for c £100 each though and days we won’t be booking
