University Guest House & Conference Center

Well, we received quite a room, with great beds, a convection cooker and microwave, small refrigerator, and all in all it would be a room for a medium family (or some really good friends during ski season.) Two televisions, a very nice bathroom, and the front desk revised our reservation to give us the (lesser) medical rate.

We stayed at the University Guest House when we had to travel to Salt Lake for a medical procedure. The Guest House is a quiet comfortable place to rest and recuperate. The complete needs rooms, kitchen, sitting area, and sleeping area not to mention the grounds for an evening or early morning stroll makes this a great place to stay

We stay at the University Guest House every time we are visiting our daughter. The location can't be beat. Front desk personnel are usually friendly and very helpful. Have never had any issues with the cleanliness of the room but the pillows are so uncomfortable it's hard to sleep.

Stayed here during the NSO at the U. We were thoroughly impressed with the size of the 'small suites'. The kitchen was so nice to have although we did not cook in. The place was very clean, quiet, and spacious. I could have worked at the desk if needed. The staff was exceptional. Continental breakfast in the morning was appreciated. We will definitely consider staying there again in the future.

Everything about our experience at the Guest House was superb! I wish my apartment was this nice. Big, clean spacious rooms with well appointed Kitchen. Bedding was very nice. Closests with extra blankets, pillows, etc. We could have easily spent several weeks here, but only had a few days. Front desk staff were very helpful, and the provided breakfast was quality food- not the usual processed stuff in plastic packages. Eggs, oatmeal, fresh fruit. I had business with the University and stayed her on recommendation of staff. Even for a personal trip, not business, I would stay here again. The train goes right by the questhouse for very easy transportation all around SLC- a bonus!

The front desk was very friendly and check-in was a breeze. The room was very comfortable and quiet with very good lighting. The shower was great! The breakfast bar was terrific and was well stocked and the food was very tasty. People were very friendly that we met at the guesthouse and I I know we were all there for the same reason - healthcare.

The Guest House is one of the places that gives a discount for patients of the UofU Hospital. I called and asked for a ADA room, Wheelchair accessible. Upon arrival they did not have one. I was placed in a lg suite. It was a session in frustration. The room was wonderful for a non wheelchair person. I could not get into the shower because of the glass door that opened out. The room had no grab bars anywhere. When I returned home I called the manager so she might know for future customers. Wow was that wrong. She was very unkind and all she could say that my reservation (called in) did not say ADA. Maybe because the person doing it thought they had put me in an ADA room. Well anyway beware. The help seem nice and receptionist could not do anything when we checked in. However the manager does not give a flip how what her employees know about what is in or not in a room. She also told me not to come back.

The University Guest House is one of the nicest places I have ever visited! The rooms are super clean, very comfortable, and efficient. The kitchen area is perfect and extremely functional. I wish the Guest House was available in more cities, it is the only place I would stay!

This is a great place if you are staying at the University of Utah. It's nice for conferences, for which it was designed. It's fairly easy to get to if you follow your phone Map App. The rooms are clean and easy to get to. The breakfast was also good. The bed is great and it was nice to have a fridge, hot plate, and sink. There is no restaurant on site so you have to leave and drive over a mile or more to find someplace to eat but of course, you can have food delivered.
