Best Hotels near Benin House, Salvador

Quarto bom, espaçoso, silencioso, não tive problemas no sono. Banheiro um pouco apertado. Café da manhã podia ter mais opções de pães, mas estava tudo gostoso e suficiente. Atendimento foi ok. A localização é muito boa, a poucos metros de um grande shopping.

We were staying over night in the purpose of sleep before the travel to lencois. The hotel was perfect for that. Really good value for money. Nice and clean room. Used the room service to order dinner which was really good. And the hotel was really closed to the bus terminal. Staff in check in talked English and in check out not really good English.

Hotel maravilhoso, de cara. Amei a recepção, a supervisora que nos recebeu, muito agradável, receptiva, comunicativa (não lembro o nome da mesma) , nos acolheu muito bem, comida excelente, preço muito bom, café da manhã impecável. Até então, tudo certo ao chegar no hotel, tivemos acesso a nossa suíte, eu e o meu marido amamos, super limpo, ambiente confortável, saímos do quarto e fomos conhecer o hotel, assim que voltamos para o quarto, meu esposo notou que a banheira estava suja de poeira parecendo cinza de cigarro, sendo que antes de sairmos do quarto, estava tudo limpo, sem poeira alguma, ou seja lá o que foi o que estava dentro da banheira.. meu marido ficou intrigado, supondo que alguém poderia ter entrado no quarto, sem que estejamos, mas eu preferir ignorar, preferi acreditar que poderia ter subido do ralo da banheira (impossível, pois o ralo estava fechado) o local onde a água sai da banheira.. continuamos a aproveitar nossa estadia, no check in fomos informados sobre algumas regras, e no quarto tem várias plaquinhas informando algumas regras, tais como “fumar dentro do quarto, será cobrado uma taxa de 60,00) justo!! Até comentei com meu esposo que achei interessante, pq as vezes as pessoas tratam as coisas dos outros com desleixo, quebram e sai do hotel deixando prejuízos, assim ficaria claro que o prejuízo seria pago pelo hóspede, ok! No dia seguinte do check out, fomos acusados de ter fumado dentro da suíte, primeiro foi nos perguntado, e eu logo disse que não fumamos, somos evangélicos e não fazemos o uso do cigarro nem de qualquer bebida alcoólica, e ainda assim fomos acusados, afirmando que sim, tinha cinzas no quarto e até cheiro, um absurdo, uma mentira cabulosa, fiquei decepcionado, muito constrangida, meu esposo rebateu a recepcionista informando o que tinha acontecido sobre encontramos a banheira com sujeira, até sobre a possibilitar de ter entrado alguém no quarto, ela continuou acreditando que fumamos sim dentro do quarto, sai do hotel super frustrada, constrangida e todo meu pensamento de amor pelo hotel, se transformou em raiva, frustração, constrangimento. Enfim, nunca mais voltarei a esse hotel, não quero correr o risco de ser constrangida novamente por pessoas irresponsáveis!

the room was very good as well as the air condicioned, the cleaning, also the breakfast, the food and my special thanks to the patissier he makes delicious desserts, i wib two kilos because of that... I also want to thank all the staff for their kind attention and excellent simpatie.

This hotel can be considered well located if you are traveling by car or if you have no problem taking a taxi, uber or similar, all of this because, although the neighborhood is good, it does not offer any of the attractions of Salvador by foot. Aware of that, you can come, but pay attention, don't expect too much, the accommodation is good but old, the lobby is large but dark, the breakfast is relatively full of food but always crowded and in order to get one ”tapioca” or an omelette this will require some of your patience in the row. I tried to go to the gym but even during the pandemic it was full of people, maybe because of the location next to the pool or even because of the usual number of guests at the end of the year. Even so, we were well taken care of during the period we stayed at the Bahia hotel and I would return without any major problems.

My family and I stayed at the Wish with interconnecting rooms in August 2022. This worked really well for us. Lobby area is large and airy with lovely decor. Pool area looked really nice but was not warm enough for us to use. The gym was modern with plenty of choice in equipment. Had some lovely evenings at the bar drinking cocktails made by Mauro. We were allocated rooms on level 11 so we had the perfect view over the city. Just wish the windows had been cleaned. Our view was a little cloudy! On one occasion we had music outside the park for us to listen to! Plus we watched some lads playing soccer. Room sizes were good. Beds were supercosy with good selection of pillows. The decor was a little tired and could do with freshening up. There was a musty damp scent in the room on arrival which we resolved by opening the window. This must be due to the climate where its warm and wet in Winter. Breakfast was lovely each morning with lots of choice. Just wish they had some plant based alternatives. E.g soya milk, margarine etc. Outside the Wish hotel is a park which a huge monument and fountain, if you wish to take a morning stroll/jog. There are council exercise machines next to the childrens playground. We were fortunate to see Capoeira training going on. Other than that there is nothing else. A short cab ride away will take you to Bahia shopping mall - Really good food court on ground floor here - Oriental, Italian and Brazilian. Plus a good place to do a money exchange. Cash is king here guys! The tourist spots like praca da sa, Pelourinho, Rio Vermelho etc are 1.5 miles away. Hotel taxis accept card payments. Which is really convenient. Be prepared to hold on to dear life when taking a random taxi from the street. Some drive like lunatics. Our taxi from airport to hotel was like this. Maybe its worth booking a hotel transfer with Wish. Overall if I could afford the Fasano I would stay there for the luxury plus location,but if you require something more easy on the pocket and away from the madness of the tourist areas, I would choose Wish de Bahia. In my journey to the Savior I stayed hospitable in him when I arrived and one day before I returned. (day 03/02 and day 08/02) The room that placed us in the first hosting was good, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was good, only that it had a threat to one person and we were a couple. The room they put us in our second stay was bad, the bed was extremely soft, the bathroom was all flooded by leaving water from the shower box, the room available was just a shampoo. The breakfast coffee is reasonable, it's simple and few options. The water served in the jar is of the tower and has a strong taste of chlorine. The reception staff are not the most receptible. Only a woman who doesn't remember my name took my doubt about the dinner they served and was well educated, because the guy who was taking me up was not taking care of.
