I was a bit skeptical about this hotel due to mixed reviews, however I could not have been more pleased. Location was a "shortish" trek from the train station and quick walk over bridge to old town. I only stayed one night and therefore did not get a chance to fully explore the area however shops and restaurants were close-by. The room was clean and spacious and the breakfast was very good. The pub next to hotel was a lot fun after a long day of exploring. Highly recommend and would stay again.

We loved this hotel. Room was large, had a nice bathroom and a good breakfast downstairs. Location was excellent, about a 3 minute walk to the bridge to Old Town. Lots of good shops and restaurants around the hotel, supermarket 1 minute away. About a 20 minute walk from the train station or a $12 cab ride.

I chose this hotel because of its location in Old Town Salzburg, but it turned out to be a great choice. The room was very comfortable and quiet, despite it being Oktoberfest while we were there. The staff were great, and we even met the owners who are hands-on and terrific. They have used technology throughout the inn, and it has a more modern feel (despite being built in the 1300s), was clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was terrific, too. Definitely recommend.

Modern room in an historic building. The location was perfect—a short walk to the market area, the Cathedral, the Fortress, Mirabell Gardens. Many restaurants nearby. The breakfast at the hotel was excellent, and the staff was very helpful!

This hotel is in a perfect location close to all sights as well as restaurants, bars and markets. Lovely rooms and a friendly staff. Breakfast is available for an extra cost but the price is a little high.

Good hotel.
The place is located perfectly, for a tourist. If you have a car, you need to park it about 500m in a parking house. The standard room doesn’t have air conditioning, which can make the room too hot at the summer.
Breakfasts is well, and the their restaurant are making pleasant food.

Have stayed here several times for the Salzburg Festival. In the middle of town but very quiet. Good sized rooms. Good breakfast. Very polite and helpful staff. Recommended.

We had an excellent stay here. The hotel is right in the middle of the old town with easy access to shops bars, restaurants and sight seeing. The staff were very friendly and went the extra mile. The rooms were clean comfortable and blissfully quiet. We visited during an exceptionally hot period and the air conditioning was efficient. The beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was great, with good choices and plenty fruit. We ate in the restaurant one night which was OK. I believe this has a different owner to the hotel. We would definitely stay here again.

Great walkable location. Comfortable quiet rooms and friendly staff. The included breakfast offered a good selection. Our room was off a floor the elevator serviced which was helpful with our luggage. Some rooms will have to be accessed by stairs if in-between which would have been inconvenient.
