Cocoon Salzburg

An excellent choice for travellers using Salzburg Hauptbahnhof, particularly if you have an early-morning train connection. Cocoon Salzburg is conveniently located just 5 minutes from the station, which made our departure stress-free without sacrificing easy access to the city during our stay. The room was comfortable and well designed, although there are a couple of practical points worth noting. There are no coffee or tea-making facilities in the room, but these are available on the ground level. Likewise, there was no iron or ironing board in our room, though we were informed that ironing facilities are available on the ground level. A particularly useful benefit is that Salzburg City Mobility tickets can be obtained at check-in, making it very convenient to use public transport without having to arrange this separately. Overall, a very practical, comfortable and well-located hotel. For anyone arriving or departing Salzburg by train—especially on an early service—the location alone makes Cocoon Salzburg an easy 5-star recommendation.

Lovely new property with a warm, inviting atmosphere and tasty food. However, the rooms are tiny! way too small for what they charge. Service was a mixed bag: the staff were fine overall, but the gentleman at the front desk during check-in came across as dismissive and made us feel uncomfortable, which was a real letdown.

Just 5-min away from the train and bus stations and within walking distance, about 15 mind walk, to the old town. Very stylish and pretty decor in the room and the cafe. There’s a station to check-in and make the room key by yourself instead of waiting for the reception and ending up still having to do the same process by yourself. There is a self-served water station as no kettle in the room.

We like this hotel; the staff are very nice, but if you need a refrigerator, you have to pay extra.

The place is a stone throw away from the central station and very accessible. Also have free transportation for the number of days u stay with them - ask the staff. There are free apples and sparkling water you can retrieve from the lobby. It was a really comfortable stay. It was quiet and peaceful. They had a very secure luggage storage that was great. Loved the wall design that allowed me to hang my clothes and dry them as well.

Good location. It’s very convenient for us to travel around. We love to stay in this hotel again if we visit Salzburg again in future 😊

Overall good. The location is perfect and it’s near central station, easy to take bus to Lake District and train to other big cities! There are lots of Asian and Chinese restaurants nearby if you miss hometown food. The hotel room is overall clean, with some dust but manageable. The hotel is quite self-services, Staff is ok but not helpful sometimes, you need to proactively ask them if you need a hand. Breakfast is soso
