The hotel is a bit old, but well-maintained. The staff is responsive and accommodating. The upkeep and cleaning of the rooms are impeccable. The food is good. Very good bartenders. Remarks – on the dirty beach, people from Haiti come in and they can rob or insult you. The evenings are very boring, the animation is not worth it, the only ones having fun are the animators.

Relaxing holiday for sure. Went with my best friend. We are 60 and really went to be able to recharge which we did!! Cuba is usually my go to but given everything going on I decided to return to the DR. This resort presents quite nice and definitely both pro’s and con’s as is the same with all resorts. So…. Cleaning staff did a great job on our room. Food was decent but very limited to what I am used to. Chicken is not served often and most beef tastes “*****”. Bread excellent as always in the DR. Always had pasta with both red and white sauces so that was a plus. Breakfast was probably the most “normal” Pool was decent. People were using the skimmer off the end of the pool to help out so that was cool! 😎 definitely needed more shocking as it got prettt cloudy. Staff is pleasant although not “overly” pleasant. No big smiles or greetings as is prevalent in so many other countries but that’s ok, no one was rude so …… The beach…..🏖️ …..ugggg I’m a beach girl and this was most definitely disappointing!! The garbage just WOW 😮 how utterly sad…..the resort does its best to take up the garbage along the beach but to the left and right of the tourist beach seating is just absolutely heart breaking 💔 the locals can be seen on each side of you (and it’s not at all a big beach) and the garbage they leave OMG 😳 garbage floating in the water all around you. Needless to say with no room for beach walks and the amount of garbage we spent all of our time at the pool unfortunately. I did enjoy the mixed drinks - pina colada’s were endless as well as margaritas etc. I’m a big coffee drinker and the machines with caffe con leche were perfect !!👍 Our room had water from the room above us pouring through the ceiling into our bathroom. We went to the front desk on two occasions day one and day three and it finally got “somewhat” fixed. Only leaked on the floor instead of into our bathtub so we put towels down all week so we didn’t slip on tiles. I gave up on giving a 3rd request. For this reason alone I won’t return. We should have immediately been moved to another room. Who the heck gets left in a room that has the upstairs bathrooms dirty water poring in on them????? Out sliding door weather stripping almost completely fell out during the week and the glass seemed as thought it was going to fall in on us…..we practised great caution opening and closing and didn’t bother saying anything. If they were not following up on the water issue they sure as heck were not going to care about our sliding door. We only went to one show which was karaoke. Same as you would expect at home and there was an 70ies and 80ies night which our friends said was pretty Mickey Mouse. Really no shows like other resorts I have been to and my expectations and needs are pretty low so that would speak to something. The animation team (pretty much two young men) did an amazing job around the pool ALL day every day entertaining and engaging guests! ☺️ All in all it’s an “ok”

Anneris & Genesis’ service in the dining hall made my birthday trip that much more memorable. They both added a touch of service and excellence to the hotel’s allure for me, arranging a serenade for my birthday breakfast and dinner, even arranging for a cake to be made for me. I really think they are the parts of this trip that made it special for me.

This hotel offers stunning views and a unique layout, but there are several important things to consider before booking. 📍 Layout & Views The property is built across different elevations. Pool and elevator area: approximately 33 meters above sea level Views: absolutely gorgeous, especially overlooking the water You can see Cayo Linares, a group of small islands connected by a bridge. The islands were developed in the 1970s for tourism (but due to funding they drop developing) and are often referred to as the “Island to Nowhere.” The Brigde is around 13 meters above water with peaks of the rocks reaching 22 meters. On days with a nice breeze, the elevation makes a noticeable difference, even when temperatures reached 36°C, it felt much cooler, which was very pleasant. 🕰️ Comparison to Previous Stay (2017 vs. Now) I previously stayed at this hotel in 2017, when it was under Bahia management. With Eurostar taking over in the past year, I expected to see visible renovations or improvements. Unfortunately, the resort felt virtually unchanged! It honestly felt like stepping back into 2017. There were no noticeable upgrades or modernizations throughout most of the property. Additionally, one entire section of the resort is currently closed: The downhill area with additional villas, pools, and jacuzzies is inaccessible This appears to be due to ongoing renovations under the new management While renovations are understandable, the lack of visible improvements elsewhere, combined with reduced access to amenities, made the resort feel incomplete rather than refreshed. 🏖️ Beach Experience The beach is very small! You can walk its entire length in about 5 minutes round trip. This is not comparable to Punta Cana or Varadero if you’re expecting long beach walks. Things to be aware of: If you want a decent beach chair, arrive before 8:30 AM Many guests reserve loungers early with belongings and then leave for breakfast Some guests smoke near the beach chairs At the far end of the beach, local families (possibly non-hotel visitors) often gather Kids can be loud There is occasional music (not overwhelming, but noticeable if you’re seeking quiet or trying to record audio) I had to change room due to smell, also the shows get pretty loud until 11 something at night. If you face Samana (like I did) loud until 1:30 AM (I played relaxing sleep music from Spotify) 🌉 Island Bridge Walk The bridge connecting the islands is absolutely worth doing. About 3,600 steps round trip Incredible views throughout ⚠️ Notes: Wear comfortable shoes or solid sandals Avoid open-sole sandals (learned this the hard way) There is broken glass near the stairs, so watch your step carefully 🏊 Pool Area I used the pool once, for about 2–3 hours during rainfall. Some guest groups were loud and disruptive, both at the pool and beach The rain helped reduce elevator congestion, which was a small plus 🍽️ Food & Dining - Restaurants (A la carte) - Must reserve/book at the inner recep

This hotel should not be 5 stars! I’m here right now ! You are swimming in garbage, the pool closes at 6pm there is no swim up bar. The hotel is falling down and in serious disrepair. There is zero entertainment and I am super disappointed in my purchase DO NOT STAY HERE. Mambo is annoying and only entertaining for like two hours do not be fooled it is awful here

Beware, the hotel does not have their beach, it is a public one and waste from the city comes directly on the beach. First start with room service which even with tip did not made their work as it should. Needed 4 days to have body gel and conditioner filled in the bathroom ( even if I asked at the reception) and 5 days for them to bring a bed in the room as the 3rd one ( for my wife) was like a rock. Cofee is dull and had chemical taste. Everyone, everywhere expected tip, and I think I am tipping pretty ok. Around 200-300 usd for the family per week but looks like was not enough. The beach is awful and I did not enter at all as was full of human made garbage all 7 days on the beach and in the water ( plastic cups, all kind of platic trays, etc). Unfortunately, I did not took a picture in the first day when was the worst, I was too shocked 😃. The pool is poortly maintained, the bottom is full of dead bugs and there are not enough sun shades as an alternative to dirty beach. The positive is the entertainment team that tries their best.

We had so much fun at this resort. We were there over Easter weekend and let me tell ya the locals had a blast enjoying the beach. They made us feel welcome and we smiled the whole time. The hotel was great, so many different ways to get to the same spot. We had an ocean view room and it was well worth it. Housekeeping was top notch. The elevator, that was pretty cool, loved it and had no issues. The beach was fantastic. Nice and relaxing. The beach BBQ and bar were top notch! The long bridge, that was a great 2 hour walk, and the scenery was picture worthy. The buffet was always good. The coffee was hot and the drinks were cold what more could you want. The staff, very friendly. The locals , super nice. We were not disappointed and would definitely go back.
