We were there January 20-27th 2024. This lodge is very clean. Our room (superior at second floor with balcony) was very clean Cleaning lady every day. Big bathroom with big shower. I gave a 3 stars because there is no fridg in the room. This is a must. Yes we can put our things in the mini fridg at the private kitchen but not a lot of space. Just for a bottle of water. And there is no dresser with drawers in the room. Nothing to put on our luggage on arrival. Only place is on the bed or on the floor!!! Yes there is a big closet with a lot of hangers. I wished I had more than just a bed sheet. A bedspread would have been nice!! There are a lot of dogs barking at night. I know they are not at the lodge but it keeps you awake!! The breakfast is 20$ US. Yes it is a nice breakfast but for a couple it is 40$ US. We didn’t have a car and it was a bit far in the morning to walk for breakfast, I wished we had a choice of what to eat with a price. 2 toasts and jam would be enough for a little price. The coffee was free. Thanks! One week without a car is a bit long. Walk and walk at 35 degres on a dusty road. Tip. Bring a flashlight for your way back at night. Loved the rocking chairs!! Pool always clean and beautiful lights at night. Nice music all day long! It is new owners. And the prices are higher !

Such a beautiful hidden oasis not too far from the the beach, 15 min walk.. cleanliness of the hotel5/5!! Breakfast was amazing, such pleasant staff. Can use the pool anytime after 9 .. Much Recommended stay! Hosts know the best restaurants around.

Wunderschöne Anlage mit tollem Pool und Aufenthaltsbereich. Die Zimmer sind groß und sehr sauber. Die Gastgeber waren sehr nett und halfen bei allen Fragen gerne weiter. Sie hatten auch gute Tipps für Samara. Die Umgebung war sehr ruhig und trotzdem konnte man in 10 Minuten den Strand erreichen. Parkmöglichkeiten gab es ebenfalls vor dem Haus problemlos.

The manager was very grumpy and rude. She complained a lot and has a bad attitude. Samara has a very peaceful and relaxed vibe but you won’t find that at this hotel. My favourite activities in Samara were yoga at the Intercultura Center and surfing at Chocos surf school.

De mooiste stop tot nu toe in onze reis Costa Rica. 5 sterren meer dan correct. Kamers vergelijkbaar met 5* hotels (buiten een koelkastje). De uitbaters zijn Duitsers en dat merk je aan het uitgebreide ontbijt. Lekker brood, beleg, fruit, eieren in welke vorm dan ook opgediend. Alles is hier kraak net. Op wandel afstand van strand en centrum met winkeltjes, ATM en restaurants. Gefeliciteerd aan de uitbaters! Aanrader!

Wir waren 2 Nächte bei Jörg und Tina und kurz gesagt - es war einfach klasse. Ein tolles kleines Hotel mit Liebe zum Detail. Wir bekamen ein kostenlose Upgrade auf ein Zimmer mit Terrasse. Das Frühstück war einfach nur Lecker. Die Gastgeber versorgten uns noch mit Tips für Aktivitäten, Essen etc., wobei die Empfehlung, zum Playa Barringona zufahren, das absolute Highlight war. Trotz der nur 2 Tag Aufenthalt jetzt im September haben wir uns fast wie zu Hause gefühlt-wenn es ein nächstes Mal in Samara gibt, dann wieder hier. Zimmer, Austattung, Pool-alles nur top. Tja was soll ich sagen, was nicht schon beschrieben wurde? Wir waren 14 Tage bei Tina und Jörg, wurden wie Freunde empfangen, wie Freunde ehandelt und sind als Freunde gefahren. Das Hotel: sehr gut durchdachtes Konzept, die Zimmer groß, mit allem ausgestattet, was man brauchen könnte (sogar ein Regenschirm), ohne überladen zu sein liebevoll dekoriert, sehr sauber, modern und trotzdem nicht atypisch für Costa Rica. Auch der Garten: auf relativ kleinem Raum wurde hier eine Naturoase geschaffen, die andererseits mit vielen Sitzecken auch Rückzugsmöglichkeiten bietet. Wir waren viel im Hotel und haben uns NIE bedrängt gefühlt. Und auch nie alleingelassen! Tina und Jörg machen ganz den Eindruck, als hätten sie hier ihr persönliches Glück gefunden und möchten dieses Paradies mit ihren Gästen teilen. Aufmerksam, unaufdringlich und immer freundlich. Ich hätte ewig bleiben können.

Tolle kleine Oase unweit vom Strand von Samara entfernt. Jörg und Tina führen das kleine Hotel mit viel Liebe zum Detail, alles ist sehr gepflegt, nett und sauber. Unser Zimmer war großzügig, der Safe hat uns das Leben leichter gemacht. Pool und Honesty Bar können wir auch sehr empfehlen, ebenso wie das sehr leckere Frühstück. Wenige Gehminuten zu Restaurants und Strand. Sehr zu empfehlen für einen kurzen oder längeren Aufenthalt in Samara!

Loved the easy going vibe of the lodge - a perfect place to chill after a hot day at the beach and in town. The lodge is located in a family neighbourhood, a short walk from Samara centre. Super clean, lovely design and plenty of lounging space around the pool and dining areas. Rooms are large and bed comfy. Our hosts were really kind and had plenty of good recommendations for restaurants in the area. We will definitely return.
