We were at the Hideaway for two nights. The room was very spacious and very clean. Bathroom was very large, very clean, well appointed, and had a very nice shower. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was great. The pool is large and clean. Drinks are always available around the pool. Howler monkeys make occasional visits, but weren’t bothersome. Carillo beach (one of the nicest beaches anywhere!) is right nearby. All in all, a great place to stay. Highly recommended.

Discovered it when we walked from Samara Beach to the south end across from Isla Chora. On the way back we walked the path out to the highway to catch the bus and saw the Hideaway Hotel. We stopped in and had smoothies. Had a nice chat with Brian…he gave us info on kayaking to Isla Chora. We went back the following week for lunch after we did our kayak & snorkel adventure. We had a delicious lunch and the service was good. We had smoothies, pizza and a platter of avocado salad. The hotel is very close to the main road yet in a very private setting. I would stay there…it looks like a nice place to stay.

The Hideaway was an excellent experience in every way. Great location with a very short, easy walk to the beach. Wonderful pool area and excellent food in the hotel restaurant. Delicious creative cocktails. Customer service was above and beyond, consistently and with each staff member. We traveled with another couple and all four of us are seasoned travelers, and the Hideaway stood out as one of the very best hotels we have enjoyed.

Just a great experience. Walk to Samara beach. Short drive to other beaches. Great rooms, staff was awesome, and priced right. Good choice in Samara. Breakfast was excellent. Lunch as well. Pool very clean. Very helpful front desk. A great choice and you will not be disappointed at all.

Fab hotel with a lovely quiet pool and a great poolside restaurant - which did excellent cocktails (the Mango Daquiris were so good). One minute walk from a gorgeous quiet section of beach. A bit out of the main town but still walkable into Samara on the beach (took us about 40 mins). Room was spacious. Staff were very helpful (we were very pleased with the boat trip they organised for us). Highly recommend

A great location, very near the beach and a great place to snorkle. The staff is excellent, always there to help you and give you good advices. Loved our stay! It is best to have a car, since the hotel is a little out of Samara (only 5 minutes drive). I recommend this hotel a 100%.

The distance to Samara was too far. Very intense sewer smell in the room on one night no beach chairs or umbrellas as advertised in the listing. All chairs were broken.
