Arion Hotel

A perfect hotel to explore Samos, Kokkari is a quick walk away. And you have a breathtaking view as the hotel is located on a hillside.

We liked the hotel very much. The location is great, close to the beautiful pebbly beach of Lemonakia and a short walk to the a**ospheric Kokkari, where we spent the evenings. A hotel bus also runs on these routes during the day, which is also a good solution. The hotel itself consists of a main building and charming smaller buildings, the grounds are very nicely kept. The whole place is located on a hill with a picturesque view of the sea and Kokkari. Our room was in the main building on the ground floor. It was spacious enough and comfortable. Decorated not to our taste, but you don't go on holiday to admire the room ;) The only minus was the bathroom, which was of a poor standard. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel, the food was very good and there was a large selection. There were no animations in the hotel, which is a big plus for us. You can easily find a place to park your rental car near the hotel. Overall, it's a nice, quiet place in a great location. We would happily stay there again, perhaps choosing a room of a better standard.

I was here for a week as part of a hiking group and felt very comfortable in every respect. I had a room in one of the bungalows further away and the hotel was generally very quiet. The room is not fancy and there are very few power sockets, but it had everything you need: a large, comfortable bed (plus another one that I didn't need and used as a shelf), desk, TV with a few German channels, seating area, large closet, fridge - and a mini safe that unfortunately doesn't fit an iPad. The room was easy to darken with a roller shutter and the small terrace had a very nice view. The bathroom is big enough, has an old-fashioned but well-functioning hairdryer and enough shelf space. The breakfast and dinner buffet was varied and it was very nice to sit on the terrace. The snacks in the pool bar are just as good as the cocktails. The staff were also incredibly helpful and friendly! The only small drawback is the location: since the hotel is on a higher elevation, you have an incredibly beautiful view, but you also have to walk about a kilometer and a half down and then back up again if you want to go to the very beautiful town of Kokkari. However, the hotel also offers a free shuttle, so you don't have to walk. Overall, a very nice stay.

Facilities max. 2 stars. Missing power sockets, old, broken equipment, unfriendly staff at reception, no interest in dealing with guests when the hotel makes its own mistakes. The only thing that counts here is sales with the least possible effort. Have been to the Arion several times, this was the last straw!!! Never again, sorry. But as a service provider without customer service, that's just not acceptable!

Excellent hotel, everything good, room, breakfast, pool, service, wiffi, highly recommended, unfortunately due to the tour I took we only stayed one night but we would have liked to stay longer! There is a minimum that leads to Kokkari, a beautiful village with beach and beautiful views and restaurants. recommendable

The view is simply magnificent.
