Excellent quintessential country pub catering to the locals and those visiting. Staff are very friendly and the food is top notch. The carvery plate is one of the largest you'll see. Pricing is in line with the area and the canal is accessible from the car park. Our booking was for a large group. We were provided a private room and a dedicated server.

Excellent food and service and price,very good friendly well mannered staff.Would highly recommend to anyone.Not the first we’ve eaten here that’s why we’ve returned and will certainly be coming back again at some stage. Ideal place to go and walk your meal off along the canel.

We have visited this Pub many times and have always had really good food. We visited in March for lunch and were extremely disappointed with the quality of the food. The staff were very friendly and the beer was really good. I know Pubs are struggling in the present climate but the last thing they should do is cut the quality of the food, as customers will just not return. I had fish pie which only had four small pieces of fish and a very sloppy mash. The cost was £16/£17. My husband's meal was also very disappointing. We will not be returning.

This pub is in walking distance from our touring site. It is lovely. Has a great atmosphere and a good range of beers. We had a meal on Saturday evening, which was stunning. With some of the recipes from the Hairy Bikers. The landlord was friendly and very informative. We were lucky enough to be able to book for Sunday Carvery as well. This was really wonderful with loads of vegetables and several types of potatoes. Great staff, so nice and always smiling, even though they were very busy as it was Easter. Would recommend and we will be back.

Nice atmosphere, lovely friendly staff. Food really good value and really enjoyable. Nothing too much trouble. They have a large outside covered area and a big car park with access to the canal at the back. Looking forward to visiting again Thank you Aaron and team

Excellent fish n chips and steak. Good prices. Needed taxi back to The Minnows Campsite and given a free lift by one of the owners. Outstanding service. Would return. Interesting walk along canal from The Minnows. Has really friendly staff.

Only good thing about this pub was the friendly and amenable young lady who took our order - hence the one star. Although there were other staff there, she seemed to be doing ten times as much work and kept every aspect of the place moving. The burgers are absolutely rubbish. Meat tasted ok but couldn’t even taste the blue cheese because it was so minimal, the cheap basic white bun fell apart multiple times, the onion rings were clearly frozen and undercooked, cucumber and tomatoes were dry, chips were frozen whetherspoons style. £16 - what an absolute rip off. I would have been embarrassed to serve it if this was where I worked. All in all a major disappointment after not coming here before and thinking from the outside it’d be fairly decent home made grub. Definitely wish we’d gone to Wetherspoons instead and got way better food for half the price!
