Not clean bathrooms, doors in the bathrooms are black from hand marks and looks like never been cleaned. Bathrooms are OLD. Overall Not very clean

I was in San Angelo visiting my son who is attending Angelo State University. Everything at you hotel was as it should be. I know that doesn't sound like a rave review but for me it is. I don't expect a lot when traveling...just what you promise. And that is what I got. Friendly staff, clean and comfortable room. But the thing that made this trip stand out is that I left a very expensive watch in my room and I was barely 10 miles out of town when my phone rang. I almost didn't answer it but thankfully did. It was the manager on duty saying that the person cleaning the room had found my watch. I believe her name was Rosalita or something close to that. I turned around and drove back to the hotel to retrieve my watch. They had my watch ready for me when I arrived. I thanked everyone for their honesty, gave the lady that found it a $100 and got on my way. Please recognize them for this act of kindness because it is hard to find these days.

This hotel is very rough around the edges. The lobby smells of harsh cleaning chemicals and cigarette smoke from guests smoking right by the doors. The carpets in the halls and elevator are badly stained, and the carpet in our room was disgusting, with chewing gum stains. The bathroom floor tile was loose, the shower walls were not cleaned. The TV volume did not work via the remote and had to be fixed manually by the front desk agent because it's too complicated to explain how to fix it. They also charge a ridiculous $75 fee for dogs, but our dogs were cleaner than anything in this hotel. The only plus is that the sheets and towels seemed clean. There is a grass area to walk the dogs (however this was full of trash including sterile gloves, cigarette butts, and random clothing). Strangely this place has good reviews, they must have very low standards in San Angelo. We will never stay here again.
