The photo's make the hotel look fabulous. Near downtown I was expecting it to be in a rundown area because my wife wanted to be close to the river walk but was shocking to my family. AC barely worked had to go to Walmart and get two fans for our 3-king room. No power outlet at the desk for my laptop, power outlet above the frig was hanging off the wall. Main reason we booked this hotel was because it had an in-door pool. Wife, daughter and her 3 kids went down for a swim on our second night, they returned about 15 minutes later because there was too much chlorine in the pool. When everyone changed out of their bathing suits brown water was dripping from them. Absolutely nasty pool. Got home to learn that ALL of the bathing suits were ruined. Before booking, use google maps so you can see the area for yourself if you want to avoid sketchy areas. We had not problems but other may avoid these areas at all costs.
