Hampton Inn San Antonio Stone Oak

WOW, This cannot be called a Hampton!! Had to change rooms 5 times!! as unclean, bedding not changed, just throw remade!! I felt sorry for the only staff member onsite. She check most of the third floor and they were in the same unclean condition. Clearly new staff are required!

Although the hotel was in a location we needed and was a great price, our stay was impacted by the hotel’s inability to have a room ready for us one and a half hours after check in time. We had a function to attend that night and drove in for it but needed to clean up and dress for the occasion. They told us it would be at least 30 minutes to an hour to have a room ready and possibly longer. We notified trips.com and they made a phone call to try to speed up the process but were told the same thing. We looked for a hotel in the same area but no rooms were available on a Saturday night and last minute (understandable). Just as we were resigned to making an unfavorable decision, we checked back with the hotel and they were able to give us a room (just not what we reserved) that worked. I was also disappointed that the manager never showed his face at the counter when multiple people were there dealing with the same issue. Made the clerk at the front desk deal with unhappy customers.

Worst Hilton I have ever stayed in anywhere. Wouldn't give me digital key until I paid $50 incidental fee. We're Silver members with no government discounts but had to see both our ID's. It was late and I wanted no contact entry. Ceiling tiles missing, holes in walls, dirty sheets in hallway, shower curtain torn, chairs were stained, carpets filthy, ice machines broken, water warm not hot....... Absolutely do not recommend.

My low rating relates to being charged unauthorized and undocumented fee. When I checked out the front desk clerk was not able to document why this fee was charged. They were also unable to remove the fee because they indicated they lacked authority. The front desk clerk told me I would receive a call from the manager, which I did not receive. I contacted Hilton customer service, and after they contacted the manage, it was indicated that the fee would be refunded. When I received an adjusted receipt, I could see where they refunded the unauthorized fee but then immediately recharged the same unauthorized fee. This is the second week in a row that I stayed at a Hilton related hotel and had to dispute unauthorized and undocumented fees. This trend indicates to me there is something systemically wrong with this hotel group.
