hotel muy bonito, colonial, en pleno centro de san cristobal. bonito patio y zonas comunes. habitación un tanto espartana, cama dura, muchas colchas y mantas que pesaban... un televisor de 32 pulgadas, un armario... y eso era todo, ni minibar, ni cafetera, ni caja de seguridad... había una estufa de carbón que no necesitamos (un cartel indicaba que el primer encendido era gratis y el segundo costaba 60 pesos; no sé si esto será bastante en invierno, no había calefacción en la habitación). el baño merece una actualización, se quedó en los años 80, aunque la presión del agua era buena. el desayuno buffet por 180 pesos 7 persona fue correcto y bien atendido, con buenas variedad de platos frios y calientes, pero eché en falta fiambres y queso. la insonorización era pésima: se oían todos los ruidos de la calle. tambien, una musica altísima sonaba hasta bien entrada la madrugada en el techo, quizá habia alguna fiesta en la azotea. hasta las 6 de la mañana, se oían continuos gritos de huespedes que sonaban en el interior del hotel, no sé si en habitaciones o en el patio... el recepcionista tambien está para hacer mantener el orden y el silencio a ciertas horas. no volvería a este hotel. apenas pude dormir.

Loved the old colonial a**osphere of the property, how clean it was and how attentive staff were to requests. Plus you get the benefit of 2 restaurants- 1 for breakfast and lunch and a modern sports bar. It was beautiful and convenient. The only downside was that it can get warm in the room on hot days.

Great location. The central patio is amazing and the food at the restaurant is good but didn’t have hot water in our shower because the system needs “purging”(??!!). Clogged toilets, intermittent WiFi, etc. not very good being for your book.

Hotel Diego de Mazariegos was amazing! The staff were so friendly and welcoming and the hotel was super clean and comfortable. It’s within walking distance everywhere in the center of San Cristobal de las Casas! Highly recommend it!
