My mom is allergic to feathers so I asked if we could swap out the feather pillows for hypo-allergenic pillows. We gave the housekeeping attendant the two feather pillows and he returned with one pillow, telling us that the Hilton didn’t have any more non-feather pillows. I suggested, since it was only 4pm on Wednesday, that he exchange the feather pillows with the pillows in an empty guest room, which he did. Mom was cold and when I looked in the closet for an extra blanket, there was none. The housekeeping attendant brought us what had to be the filler from a duvet or, I’m not really sure where it had come from. One edge was roughly cut, like with a scissors completely across the entire “blanket”. The “blanket” was like old foam and was sticking to itself and was disintegrating. We had asked for a balcony so we’d be able sit outside and enjoy room service overlooking the pool. The balcony on our room was barely big enough for a chair pushed in sideways with not even room for a tiny table. Also, the restaurant was closed (they said they haven’t been able to find a chef.) The buffet “breakfast” was only open until 9:30am and as we were on vacation, mom didn’t want to wake up early to rush down to eat, but I went anyway. The scrambled eggs were cold and overcooked. The waffle maker was broken. The bacon was old, cold and too burnt to eat. The server, when he saw that I had left most of my food, gave me a discount (I hadn’t asked for one, so that was very kind). And the final insult was that, even with mom’s handicapped sticker, I had to drop her off in her wheelchair at the hotel entrance, then find my own parking (in a huge open public parking lot) for which I was charged $15 per day!!!

I had the pleasure of being assisted by Samantha. Where do I even begin...Samantha really went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was amazing, and it was. Even on Christmas day, Samantha was so happy, helpful and cheerful. The level of customer service that she provided was phenomenal and she is a great asset to the Hilton team. I will definitely be back. Thank you for making my stay amazing Samantha, I will never forget you!!! Xo

San Diego Old Town
The environment is very good, the variety of paid breakfast is quite diverse, suitable for family trips with elderly children, the hotel is in a good location, next to the old town park, it is worth visiting, and there are many foods to choose from.

Downtown San Diego
Hotel environment is good, very close to little Italy, walk a short walk, and there is ice cream around the corner. The service attitude is also very good. The sound insulation is not good. I heard sounds from all directions all night.
Hilton Garden Inn San Diego Mission Valley/Stadium

Miramar / Kearny Mesa
Poorly ran hotel. Restaurant closes on a whim even though we had a contract stating their hours. Strange homeless person roaming the halls with no action by staff, even after being alerted. No wash cloths again today. Cleaning service might do your room, might not. We asked for daily service. This place isn’t worth another stay.
