My wife and I visited the Hyatt Regency Mission Bay on our tour of San Diego County Hyatt Properties. Arriving at the very tropically landcaped resort the lush grounds park and harbor made the hustle and bustle of downtown seem so far away. As a Hyatt Globalist, we received a beautiful suite upgrade with a balcony where we could gaze at Mission Bay. The Tower Suite was very spacious (see pics of suite and breakfast) with plenty of room. Modern USB plugs and a bar area with small refrigerator made for a very nice home base. The resort has many fun things to do...from water slides, games, trails and so much more. We enjoyed some Corn Hole and nice walks through the property and around the park at Mission Bay. The entire resort and Mission Bay area were very clean and extremely safe. Breakfast at the Red Marlin restaurant was over the top delicious...service was five star. A luxurious and large buffet of hot and cold items provided more than enough but also included was a made to order menu selection...we both opted for the Eggs Benedict, actually...I splurged and had a second order as well. A special note and welcome bottle of wine was such a nice treat from our Guest Experience Manager, Erin. I received e-mail communications before and after to ensure that we would enjoy our stay. Everyone we encountered from the Valet Staff to Eileen at Check In to Philip the Concierge made us feel like long lost cousins that we had just me...truly made to feel like family. I hold top elite status with other hotel chains and the "Globalist" trea**ent that we encountered on this trip truly made us feel the warmth and appreciation as World of Hyatt valued guests. We travel frequently, worldwide...the Hyatt Regency Mission Bay became one of our favorite properties anywhere. We look forward to returning on another visit to San Diego.
