The hotel facilities are old, the air conditioner is too noisy, the sanitation is particularly poor, there is basically no service, and the tip is not cleaned well.

Nice place. We we're upgraded at check in for free because Bahia just recently renovated their new rooms. They were spacious, very clean and had a phenomenal view from the balcony. The staff was very nice answering questions that we had throughout our stay and the landscaping is top notch. Mission Beach is a 4 minute walk

A 20 minute walk to Sea World and a 10 minute walk to the ocean beach. Sits right on the bay. Perfect. It wasn’t clear whether the room had a microwave etc when I reserved it. But our room did end up having a fully equipped kitchenette with microwave, mini fridge, toaster, and basic dinnerware. The pool was cleaned every morning. We will stay here again at our next trip to San Diego. Now we know to bring our kayaks. But they have plenty of watercraft for rent if you want to get on the bay. They also keep the beach on the property clean. The only suggestion I might have is to add some yoga mats to the fitness room.

I absolutely loved my stay here. I chose it for its location and proximity to Mission Beach, but the real gem is the staff (and service). When I checked in, Ben upgraded my room to something more private and quiet than I’d experienced at a resort. Housekeeping, specifically Maria, helped me with an issue in my room. Every staff member i encountered was friendly and ready to make my stay better. I loved being able to walk everywhere, rent a bike, and take a Lyft to the Ocean Beach Farmer’s Market - on Wednesdays; don’t sleep on this one! All in all, I highly recommend staying here. I will be returning.

Sometimes you just need to escape your reality for a while. And sometimes that's with a vacation or even a staycation. At any rate, Karina at the front desk of the Bahia helped me to get it started right. Thank you for checking me in and giving me an upgrade. I appreciate your hospitality. :)

Truly a lovely trip through and through! The complimentary cabanas, water, heated pool, large hot tub, and separation of our room from those who have kids (thanks to Ben for the upgrade and excellent service!) was all exceptional. My only unfortunate complaint, and one that is out of Bahia's control is the absurdly loud garbage pick up from the dumpsters just outside of our room. It was certainly one way to wake up every morning. Otherwise 10/10 would come here again! And the seals at the exhibit are precious!

Great experience! Beautiful hotel with a ton of amenities. Location is perfect, walking distance to the beach and many restaurants and bars. Check in process was smooth and easy. Ben was very accommodating & helpful. He made our experience even better by being so helpful to our needs/requests.

Ben was amazing! Excellent customer service and super friendly. Ben gave a very warm welcome and made us feel comfortable as soon as we arrived. Along with a friendly greeting, Ben was also very informative and extremely polite and personable.
